This role is crucial for ensuring our customers have the best possible experience on the slopes by maintaining and preparing a wide array of snow sports gear. You will be responsible for the expert servicing, repair, and tuning of skis, snowboards, boots, bindings, and related accessories. This includes detailed work such as base repair, edge sharpening, waxing, boot fitting, and binding calibration to manufacturer specifications. You will also play a key role in managing inventory for the service department, ordering parts and supplies, and ensuring the workshop is organized and efficient.   • May participate exit evaluations and rehire recommendations
  • Is able to safely navigate uneven and slippery terrain
  • Clearly and accurately instructing assigned levels of skiing or snowboarding to students, both physically and verbally
  • Assisting guests to load and unload the chairlift
  • Communicating instructions and helping guests to their feet during a lesson
  • Working with guests of all ages and abilities
  • When working with children: Supervising children in class at all times; assisting at lunch and snack times; ensuring return of children to identified guardian
  • When working with children: Assisting in operational responsibilities of Ski & Snowboard programs including but not limited to registration process, directing guests to appropriate equipment fitting source, upkeep of outdoor teaching areas, and cleanliness of facilities

**Job Specifications:**
+ Starting Wage: $20.00/hour -$5.00/hour
+ Pay range reflects minimum base wages; instructors may have opportunities to earn more with additional teaching incentives
+ Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026
+ Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available
+ Minimum Age: At least 16 years of age
+ Housing Availability: No
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Teach group and private lessons
+ Work with guests of all ages, with a focus on children
+ Deliver world-class guest service
+ Create a safe and fun learning environment
+ Support all needs of the snow sports school: inclusive of scanning, running surface lifts, facilitating lunch, fitting equipment
+ Provide guest feedback that inspires and creates lifelong skiers.
+ Other duties as assigned
**Job Requirements:**
+ Must be comfortable and competent skiing on groomed blue terrain
+ Must be willing to work with guests of all ages and have a strong level of comfort with children aged 3 and older
+ Must be able to communicate fluently in English
+ Strong communication skills
+ Must be willing to work weekends/Holidays
+ Must be comfortable being in Ski boots for extended period of time
+ Placement as an instructor is contingent upon successfully completing training and meeting the minimum skill, guest service, and safety standards.
As a Non-Certified Ski Instructor, you have the ability to be a flexible employee who works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one-resort mentality which could include:
+ Lift Experience
+ Mountain Activities
+ Food and Beverage Support
+ Base Area Operations
+ Retail Rental Operations
**Additional requirements for hires under age 18:**
Submission of a Parental Consent Form upon hire, along with other applicable documents required by state law; such as a work permit, physician's note, and/or proof of birthdate
The expected pay range is 20.00/hour - 35.00/hour. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
