Universal Windows Direct - Window Field Technician

FULL TIME: $20-$25/hr WITH BENEFITS!

The Field Technician will measure, install and test products and provide customers with instructions on the proper usage of the product. The Field Technician will have to travel to our customers' homes or businesses to perform repairs and routine maintenance. The Field Technician should have excellent technical and mechanical skills and have experience with basic hand power, diagnostic tools, and should be physically fit to lift heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

· Conducting routine inspection and provide accurate measurements of doors and windows.

· Provide timely and quality repairs of customers' products including, but not limited to, screen installation, sash replacement, glass replacement, hardware replacement, and seal repairs.

· Coordinate required return visits; convey needed services, materials, and labor.

· Perform post-installation inspections.

**Compensation Information:**

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Field Service Technician to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs of complex equipment at client sites throughout the region, based out of Baltimore, Maryland, US . This hands-on role requires a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, along with excellent troubleshooting skills. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Key duties include conducting routine preventative maintenance, performing emergency repairs, and installing new systems according to technical specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of electrical schematics, mechanical systems, and diagnostic tools. You will maintain accurate service reports, inventory parts, and communicate effectively with both customers and internal support teams. A commitment to safety and adherence to company procedures are paramount. This position requires the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel regularly to customer locations. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with vocational training or certifications in a relevant technical field being highly desirable.
