**Position Summary**
The Maintenance Technician is an entry level position in which you will be an integral part of a fantastic team servicing vehicles. **Responsibilities**
+ Learn how to diagnose and repair basic automotive including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling, exhaust, and electrical.
+ Change oil and/or perform scheduled maintenance services.
+ Install and perform tire maintenance.
+ Install batteries, shock absorbers, and check electrical systems.
+ Road test vehicles.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
+ Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
+ Experience in automotive service industry preferred.
+ Reading, writing, and math skills.

**The Utilities / HVAC Maintenance Technician will perform many daily general duties, including:**
+ Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial mechanical systems, chiller plant equipment / systems, High pressure boilers, steam turbines, pumps, valves, and pneumatic systems.
+ Conducting predictive and preventative maintenance inspections and performing required preventive maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, and more.
+ Troubleshooting and repairing various utility plant support systems.
+ Performing basic repairs on water, compressed air, and steam lines.
+ Performing preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and control and operating systems, as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
+ Responding and providing service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.
+ Recommending measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
+ Analyzing and resolving work problems, or assisting workers in solving work problems
+ Understanding company policies and enforcing safety regulations. Performing daily duties of the position in a safe manner by following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tag-out procedures while wearing PPE as required.

+ Ability to work in a highly regulated environment and diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, steam turbine, gas turbine, compressors, refrigeration, and more.
+ Strong mechanical skills learned through previous work experience
+ Strong written and verbal communication.
+ Ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures.
+ Ability to obtain site specific security access including all applicable background checks.
+ Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and successfully complete a fit test for each type of respirator needed for the position or for an approved alternate respirator that provides equal or better protection from identified hazards.
+ Ability to work overtime when required, including holidays and weekends as assigned.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

**Some physical requirements include:**

+ Experience performing pipefitting, welding, fabrication, and millwright related work.
+ Experience troubleshooting and/or repairing steam turbine, gas turbine, boilers with building automation systems in an industrial or research facility environment.
+ An active EPA Universal certification.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.50 - $34.50. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

As a facility maintenance/plumbing systems technician, you will be responsible for daily support activities, including:
Providing advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventative and predictive maintenance to general facilities systems equipment to include but not limited to plumbing, mechanical equipment, pumps, piping, backflows, drains, and other equipment as directed.
+ Repairing maintenance and mechanical building systems including but not limited to Chilled water, Reheat, Potable and Non-potable, Hot water distribution and specific components, Distilled water & reverse Osmosis systems, lab Gas systems, High & Low Vacuum systems, Instrument air Compressors and dryers, waste discharge systems consisting of effluent, Lab Waste, storm and sewage.
+ Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
+ Perform periodic maintenance on backflow preventers, eyewash/safety showers, and water filtration systems
+ General understanding of lock out tag out procedures and application
+ Respond to work orders associated with building equipment.
+ Inspects major equipment and/or operating systems and takes corrective actions as necessary.
+ Operate hand tools including grinders, saws, impact wrenches, standard wrenches, drills, and similar instruments.
+ Ensures all appropriate mechanical operations, standards, controls, and specifications, are maintained at a high level of quality. Systems/Equipment to include pumps, fans, heat exchangers, and associated valves, etc.
+ Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
