your responsibilities include

• Driving Sales and Achieving Placement Targets: You'll be directly responsible for hitting your sales goals by successfully placing skilled trades professionals with our client companies.
• Owning the Full Placement Cycle: From identifying candidates to finalizing offers, you'll manage the entire process with a focus on efficient and successful placements.
• Building Client Trust and Delivering Results: You'll be accountable for understanding client needs and consistently delivering high-quality talent that meets their specific requirements.
• Proactively Developing a Strong Talent Pipeline: You'll take ownership of building and maintaining a network of skilled candidates to readily fill current and future client openings.
• Monitoring and Improving Performance: You'll track key metrics like time-to-fill and client satisfaction, taking initiative to identify areas for improvement and maximize your placement success.

• At least 3 years of success in direct hire.
• You have had success in meeting personal gp targets through new client acquisition & repeat placements while negotiating placement fees.
• Your previous experience includes using activity targets to deliver & also steer results.

Summary

This position repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances, using hand tools and testing instruments to supply electrical power for lighting and equipment operations at the Medical Center.

Responsibilities

(25%)* Inspects and tests electrical lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits and equipment, as well as distribution panel.

(25%)* Repairs electrical circuits and equipment. Dismantles electrical machinery. Replaces faulty or defective mechanical and electrical parts. Restores electrical systems.

(25%)* Installs new wiring and electrical machinery. Studies blueprints and diagrams to ascertain layout location, and specifications of items to be installed.

(25%)* Estimates quantities of materials needed and prepares requisition.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs minor carpentry, plastering and painting in connection with electrical work.

May perform work other than electrical in maintenance and construction.

Instructs and/or helps less experienced maintenance personnel as required and/or directed.

Copes with and handles discrepancies and variations from regular system or procedure, which may occasionally arise.

Maintains records and performs other duties as required including, but not limited to, snow/ice removal and grounds maintenance.

Must have ability to work alone or with others.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND SKILLS:

Knowledge of electrical construction, blueprint reading, electricity, mathematics and physics as normally

acquired through completion of trade or vocational school.

State of Michigan Journeymans License.

Must have knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and local regulations.

Knowledge of solid state, power panel control. Mandatory tuberculosis (TB) testing must be done annually.

Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training must be completed annually according to the Exposure Control Plan.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as trauma, grief and death.

Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position.

Is able to move freely about facility with or without an assisted device and must be able to perform the functions of the job as outlined in the job description.

Overall vision and hearing are necessary with or without assisted device(s).

Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching.

Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required.

Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake.

Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis.

Physical Demand Level: Medium. Must be able to occasionally (0-33% of the workday) lift or carry 21-50 lbs., frequently 34-66% of the workday 20 lbs. and or Walk/Stand/Push/Pull of Arm/Leg controls and constantly (67-100% or the workday) 10 lbs.

Distributes and maintains accurate syllabi that incorporates departmental, college, cross-college, and instructor requirements. Conducts classes punctually and in accordance with the prescribed meeting schedule. Employs appropriate assessment techniques to measure students' performance in achieving course goals and objectives. Engages in periodic meetings with the department, Lead Instructor, and Chairperson relative to teaching duties and professional development.

• Creates a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages active and collaborative learning, student effort, academic challenge, student and faculty interaction, and support for learners. Maintains posted office hours in accordance with departmental and policies of the College. Uses technology to assist in communication with students. Encourages a sense of community among students for learning both inside and outside the classroom.
• Advises potential or current students within the discipline about the program, career, or transfer options available to assist with degree completion. Refers students to appropriate student and academic support services available at the College or in the community.

• Fosters and maintains a safe environment of respect and inclusion for faculty, staff, students, and members of the community.

• Completion of a Registered Apprenticeship Program specific to the electrical trade OR Five (5) years industry experience at Journey Level. Knowledge of residential/light commercial electrical code preferred.
• State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
