Our Interstate Logos office in Norcross, GA is looking for a new Construction Worker to help us enhance the Interstate Logos Program. We provide on-the-job training. We’re looking for a full-time Construction Worker to install and maintain our interstate logos signs - the ones that tell you when to exit for Gas, Food, Lodging, etc.
The purpose of the Construction Worker is to install and maintain ground-mounted signs along controlled and non-controlled access roadways. This is completed by receiving a schedule of jobs from the General Manager and driving to each location in a company-provided truck.
The Interstate Logos division of Lamar Advertising is the largest provider of contract logo signing and tourist-oriented directional signing (TODS) programs, partnering with State Transportation Agencies since 1988. Interstate Logos is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lamar Media Corp., which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lamar Advertising.
This position requires travel across multiple states and the ability to work up to 10 day work cycles as needed.

What we are looking for in YOU:

Familiar with the use and maintenance of construction power/manual tools, and basic construction equipment and machinery
-
Skill in using and maintaining construction power/manual tools and basic construction equipment, including chain saw and wood chipper, and how to use them in order install, maintain, or remove interstate signs

Ability to lift at least 100 pounds in order to install, maintain, or remove interstate signs
-
Skill in writing brief sentences in order to complete reports on completed jobs

Skill in taking photographs to catalog completed jobs

Ability to work at ranging heights of 20-30 feet in the air
Education and experience:

High School Education or equivalent

Driver’s license is required

Commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred (not required)

Job SummaryThis position will take on lead responsibilities in the carpentry shop . The Erosion Company (TEC) is hiring Construction Workers to be part of its Travel Team. The ideal candidate will travel weekly to job sites throughout Georgia and the Carolinas, and the southeast, performing jobs as part of the heavy civil division. The company provides meals and lodging.
Responsibilities:
- Must be readily available to travel 100% of the work time.
- Adhere to Company Safety Standards, including correctly using machinery and equipment.
- Load and unload materials.
- Follow instructions from crew leaders.
- Remove, fill, compact, and prepare the terrain.
- Install silt fencing and erosion control blankets using various hand tools.
- Assist fellow crew members.
- Perform site clean-up and reload leftover materials after completing the job assignment.
- Act as a spotter for vehicles as required.
