**Job Description:**
At Regions, the Small Business Relationship Manager focuses on delivery of credit, products, and service solutions within a dedicated geographic area and primarily targets small business clients with revenues of $3MM to $0MM.
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Identifies, acquires, and grows new relationships with small business clients
+ Delivers knowledgeable advice and solutions to grow small business relationships and optimize revenue opportunities

The **Vice President, Business Development** (VP BD) will lead all aspects of the business development lifecycle. This includes identifying and validating business opportunities; account management; customer and partner interface; business capture, and proposal development. The **VP BD** will have a proven record of success in managing business development opportunities throughout the entire Federal Acquisition lifecycle from inception to award.
**Responsibilities**
+ Define target markets, identify and qualify new business opportunities
+ Identify emerging business trends resulting in strategic recommendations to senior management
+ Collaborate and build win-win partnerships / strategic alliances that focus on understanding how to create competitive discriminators in a highly cost-competitive environment
+ Lead the Capture Management strategy and execution to further qualify and pursue new business opportunities
+ Lead and negotiate teaming agreements
+ Lead strategic bids including development of technical solutions and win strategies
+ Effectively and efficiently drives capture pursuits through gate, pricing, teaming, and capture reviews; leads and documents lessons learned
+ Collaborate with MIOS BD, team members, operational leadership, and SMEs to build and execute call plans to position for successful pursuits
+ Gather, assess, and validate customer requirements working closely with BD leads; identifies related needs and constraints that impact winning solution
+ Develop market strategy and establish a supporting qualified pipeline
+ Create and track schedules in GovWin and report status, as required, to senior management for key opportunities
+ Present opportunity overview and status at gate reviews
+ Classify win probability, funding probability and bid/performance risks and establish appropriate risk management strategies
+ Translate requirements into a robust, tested, and validated win strategy
+ Advance strategy to management and technical design with strong value proposition and differentiated bid elements based on compelling features and benefits
+ Drive development and completion of critical bid artifacts required for proposal development; ensures integrity of win strategy through supporting role in color reviews; supports proposal team by assisting with development of compliant and compelling proposals
+ Mentor and develop junior and mid-level business development personnel
+ Serve as principal liaison. Maintain frequent contact and coordination with potential customers, partners, primes, and subcontractors
+ Assume accountability for advancing and maturing opportunities toward high win probability
+ Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's or Master's/MBA degree
+ 15+ years of Business Development experience
+ 20+ years of experience in federal service and/or federal government contracting
+ Experience in developing new business and successfully pursuing medium to large-scale Federal Government business/projects.
+ Experience developing service solutions under all contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost plus) as well as non-IDIQ and IDIQ single or multiple award contracts
+ 15+ years of experience in leadership positions
+ Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Proven track record in developing winning responses to Requests for Proposal from capture through proposal development.
+ Extensive knowledge and success in the entire capture process are required.
+ Proficient ability in capture management based on industry best practices with demonstrated proficiency qualifying opportunities.
+ Ability to collaborate and build winning partnerships externally with customers and with a firm/corporation, with a focus on understanding how to create competitive discriminators in a highly competitive environment.

**Detailed Description**
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
+ Maintains a minimum revenue accountability (a personal sales quota-not a team quota) equivalent to at least US$2M in value-add.
+ Acts as the strategic business interface for several accounts on a global basis.
+ Accountable for understanding the customer's overall strategy and direction in the 1-5 year timeframe.
