The Market Business Development Manager is responsible for the overall development and execution of the marketing and business development strategy for a specific geographic area.

Responsibilities:
+ Develop a comprehensive marketing and business development strategy for a specific geographic area based on the business potential of the area, needs of the community, and the capability of the local office. This responsibility includes development of a business plan and potential referral opportunities in the area
+ Collaborate with the Clinical and Operational team to understand customers and processes in assigned area in order to educate and answer questions regarding available services
+ Spends 80% of time engaging with customers in-person to educate on the services, features, and benefits of the company as a healthcare provider
+ Develops a minimum of 10 pursuit plan targets per year with a targeted annual spread
+ Manages existing account relationships and acts as consultants to build relationship depth with current customers within assigned business area
+ Analyzes needs of customers to create customized proposal
+ Delivers exceptional customer service to customers, patients, and family members especially in the context of troubleshooting and resolving conflicts
+ Collaborate with the Director of Business Operations to understand and champion office capabilities and attributes during marketing and business development appointments
+ Aligns marketing and business development strategy with Director of Business Operations' business strategy and vision
+ Responsible for accurate completion of all required reports and activity tracking in the CRM to achieve company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
+ Educates customers on the various business lines of the organization, and maintains account collaboration with office counterparts
Minimum Requirements:
+ An undergraduate degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Management, Communications, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration
+ Minimum of one year's business development experience in healthcare preferred or other relevant business development experience
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Proficiency and experience in public speaking
+ Ability to work creatively, independently, and be self-motivated
+ Frequent daily travel throughout the specific geographic area; overnight travel may be required (10% of time)
+ Computer proficiency, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
+ Proficiency in the English language required
Salary:
$70,000 annually PLUS bonus potential

**Flexible Work Policy: The work for the National Business Development Director position is completely remote anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories. This position may require up to 50% travel.**
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Promoting and selling products, services and solutions to potential customers.
+ Produce new account revenue in line with current organization and individual targets and quotas ($40 million annually).
+ Identify and prospect key targets and gain alignment with the Region and Area Presidents.
+ Build proposals leveraging other functional teams (logistics, revenue management, merchandising), gain business approvals, propose to customer and lead negotiations to drive successful closes.
+ Embrace team selling.
+ Identify and drive organizational alignment and resources to support value proposition and closing sales to include ROCs, Finance, Operations, Merchandising and Logistics.
+ Drive the adoption and implementation of SOUS (Salesforce CRM). Track and monitor pipeline and Business Developments effectiveness in moving customers though the sales cycle.
+ Attend training and embrace the sales process and selling techniques, including documentation and reporting.
+ Monitor and evaluate sales training programs, assess results and recommend enhancements as needed to ensure effectiveness of programs and delivery of revenue and profit objectives.
+ Frequent overnight travel required, up to 50%.
**RELATIONSHIPS**
**Internal:** Direct contact with senior level staff and sales associates throughout the organization.
**External:** Executive level of potential customers.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education/Training:** Bachelors degree in related field OR equivalent work experience required.
**Related Experience:** Minimum 10 years of success in selling new accounts, preferably in foodservice industry within the region. Must have prior demonstrated success in regional or national multi-location new business development sales.
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:** Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to successfully build relationships internally and externally. Must have the ability to leverage relations to achieve business goals and work in a matrix environment. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as organizational skills and strong follow through. Ability to work under pressure meeting deadlines. Ability to closely follow a consistent sales methodology, as well as a personal track record for closing sales.
This role will also receive annual incentive plan bonus.
