About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Director of Social Impact Initiatives to lead our Social Impact division. In this pivotal role, you will oversee essential services such as shelter operations, outreach programs, and community prevention activities. Your leadership will be key in securing grants and managing government contracts, positioning our organization as a trusted partner within the community. You will play a crucial role in empowering staff through training in grant research, engaging volunteers and board members effectively, and ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social impact as well as exceptional relationship-building skills across various sectors. This role will require budget management, guidance on best practices, and direct supervision of program leaders. Essential responsibilities include advocating for legislative action, leading our efforts in the Functional Zero movement, and serving as the primary leader of the Social Impact division.

We are looking for a champion of inclusion who can empathically listen, communicate effectively, and drive meaningful change. A flexible schedule, including availability for nights and weekends, is expected, along with the ability to travel locally and participate in the on-call administrator rotation.

• Assist in maintaining and strengthening partnerships with community organizations, schools, and stakeholders to support AmeriCorps member recruitment.
• Help identify community groups and events that align with ReDefiners' mission and can serve as recruitment channels.
• Represent ReDefiners World Languages at local events, fairs, and networking opportunities to promote programs and volunteer service opportunities.
• Provide follow-up communication with potential partners and contacts established by the Social Impact Coordinator.

• Conduct outreach to potential AmeriCorps member candidates through community visits, information sessions, and targeted communication.
• Support the planning and execution of recruitment campaigns, including flyer distribution, social media engagement, and email outreach.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to share accurate and engaging information about AmeriCorps service opportunities with ReDefiners.
