In this role, you will lead the development & execution of digital & social programs for our impressive roster of clients. You will evaluate brand objectives through the lens of digital & social media determining the best platforms, partnerships, and content solutions to achieve these goals and amplify their sponsorships. You will work collaboratively with internal strategists & creatives to brainstorm ways to amplify brand sponsorships on social followed by leading all execution & oversight of ongoing campaign measurement.
You will be relied upon as a digital authority at the agency, identifying the trends and strategies that reach specific fanbases. To succeed, you will need equal parts creative and critical thinking, a deep understanding of digital and social measurement, and knowledge of leveraging property and ambassador assets through social media.
THE WORK YOULL DO- Craft savvy recommendations and implement digital campaigns including (but not limited to) social media, media partnerships, paid media, and digital measurement strategies
- Collaborate with internal Octagon departments or client agency partners to deliver asset recommendations, digital valuations, content strategy, and IP integration opportunities that enhance client investments
- Confidently pitch concepts to clients & partners and develop creative content ideas that ladder up to client objectives
- Measure campaigns and deliver inventive insights to clients on what is working and what can be optimized
- Simultaneously lead multiple projects relying on strong project management and organizational skills
- Assist with digital RFPs and growth opportunities as needed

WHO WERE LOOKING FOR- Minimum of 6+ years experience in digital/social media strategy; media or sports agency experience is a plus
- Expertise in developing & executing digital campaigns that span social media (paid & organic) and media partnerships

The base range for this position is $80,000 95,000. We are seeking a Director of Digital Strategy to lead a function that spans hardware, software, and brand strategy-from product launch to long-term growth. In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams, analyze market trends, and oversee digital transformation projects. The Director of Digital Strategy must be able to translate business needs into targeted digital experiences, manage budgets, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
What you will do to contribute to the company's success
- Develop and implement digital strategies aligned with business goals and customer needs to drive full-funnel engagement and increase conversion.
- Lead cross-functional teams (including front-end development, system architects, QA, BSAs, and UX/UI) to manage the intake, refinement, requirement gathering, sprint planning and execution of digital initiatives.
- Analyze market trends, customer data and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions and optimize campaigns.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, IT, Legal, Dev Ops and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure processes align with and improve go-to-market strategies.
- Define and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of digital programs, ensuring continuous performance improvement.
- Ensure the technical infrastructure and architecture of digital platforms are robust, secure, and scalable.
- Proactively research, evaluate, and recommend new AI-powered marketing technologies and platforms to enhance campaign performance, personalize customer experiences, and drive efficiency.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies into business operations to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the digital team.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with a strong focus on strategy development and execution, preferably within the telecommunications, mobile or fiber to the home industries.
- CMS experience, preferably in Sitecore.
- Deep understanding of Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Power BI and web development technologies.
