Job Description
The primary component in our infrastructure is the "Factory Information System" (FIS), a cloud-based, custom data collection system, consisting of AWS-deployed Java-EE application servers, high-availability SQL databases, and web applications, both Java and Python-based. Our growth vision includes the enhancement of the existing system and development of new enterprise applications to allow a significantly larger deployment base providing data collection services to more of our manufacturing operations world-wide.
The successful candidate must thrive in a small, tight-team environment, have a strong sense of ownership, and be a driver for learning new cloud-based software development and system administration technologies and skills and be a mentor to team members and users. Team members are expected to be largely self-directed and able to create reliable, scalable, and maintainable enterprise solutions in a mission-critical environment within budgetary and schedule constraints. **Responsibilities:**
+ Learn and provide support for the current cloud-based Java-EE application stack and data infrastructure.
+ Provide support for our cloud-based PostgreSQL/PGPool databases and the EJB interfaces.
+ Be a key part of the team that researches, develops, and implements on-going improvements to our cloud-based (AWS) infrastructure.
+ Be a partner in our development and implementation of future technologies and initiatives such as, (but not limited to), integration of our data systems with other corporate data systems, optimizing and improving our cloud architecture, driving cost reduction efforts, implementation of microservices, DevOps, and SCADA integration & adoption.
+ Champion software development and dev-ops best practices for other developers on the team and in our user base.
+ Work directly with our user base to identify and understand improvements and enhancements to our services that will provide greater benefit to our users.
+ Interface with our corporate IT and other functional organizations as necessary
**Additionally:**
+ Working knowledge of full-stack software development in a Java-EE environment a must.
+ Experience with Python web frameworks and development practices in a cloud environment a significant plus.
+ Experience with system administration of UNIX-based systems and knowledge of networking protocols a plus.
+ Experience with the following networking and cloud technologies a plus:
+ SOAP/REST/Docker/Terraform/Ansible.
+ Experience with dev-ops and CI/CD practices a plus.

**Pay Range**
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 100,700.00 - 186,900.00

We are looking for a talented, highly motivated Software Design Engineer with solid software skills to join our Serial Data and Vertical Market Applications Development Group.
The successful applicant will help develop software for Teledyne LeCroy's industry-leading test & measurement tools, analyzing gigabit-per-second signals from cutting-edge technologies including the next generations of Ethernet, USB, PCIe, HDMI and DisplayPort standards.
Core responsibilities:
+ Design measurement software to automatically test customer systems to next generation serial data standards using Teledyne LeCroy test and measurement equipment.
+ Develop algorithms for measurement and analysis of data.
+ Participate in serial data standards technical working groups to contribute to the development of test specifications
+ Working in a team environment to debug, diagnosis, and fix various software issues reported by customers.
+ Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code reviews
Qualifications:
