As a Software Engineering Section Manager, you will:
+ Lead a team of software engineers for combat vehicle and weapon system programs.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or related field plus 10 years of hands-on software architecture, design, and development experience.
+ Mastery of software engineering, inclusive of theory, contemporary state of the practice, processes, languages, and tools.
+ Previous experience leading a technical team, preferably 10 direct staff.
+ Experience with hardware and software integration.
+ Practical knowledge and experience with embedded software development and verification engineering processes.
+ Working knowledge of Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) with experience supporting an appraisal including evidence collection/review and participation in the interview process.
+ Working knowledge of cybersecurity tenets and their practical application in software engineering.

**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $134,200 to $58,300. The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. **What Is the Opportunity?**
Travelers is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to join our organization as we grow and transform our Technology landscape. Individual will complete advanced software end to end engineering tasks that span many parts of a system including designing, developing, analyzing, configuring, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, documenting, health monitoring/alerting, and implementing based on user or system specifications.
