**Minimum qualifications:**
+ PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical fields, with a focus on one of the following: generative models, computational photography, ML, computer vision, image processing, computer graphics, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 2 years of experience in computer vision and machine learning, or research achievements in the field of computational photography (e.g., product ownership, publications).
+ 2 years of experience leading a research agenda.
+ Experience in Python programming.
+ Publications at Machine Learning (ML), vision or graphics conferences, such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CVPR, ECCV, ICCV or SIGGRAPH.
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ Experience with computer vision or graphics.
+ Experience in machine learning, neural nets.
+ Ability to work in a changing, collaborative environment.
+ Excellent programming skills in Python and C/C++.
+ Excellent communication skills.

The creative camera team mission is to imagine and build the future of photography and videography. Our team is reinventing digital imagery like from new algorithms for creating the quality images and videos on mobile devices, to creating new ways of capturing and reliving the experiences.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Identify and solve creative new problems, and conduct fundamental research.
+ Have a passion for photography and new visual experiences, with the theoretical and practical knowledge to perform research, and drive to help land their work in products.
