The SaaS Sales Representative is responsible for presenting product offerings and benefits in the best light to prospects and customers, to evoke confidence in company’s technology infrastructure, and removing all business and technical objections in the sales cycle. To accomplish this, the Sales Representative must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure and effectively demonstrate the solutions with product trials that address these requirements and provide business value. 

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the customer need and establish company's product as the best solution that addresses that need

  • Build and present solution demos

  • Provide outstanding leadership through trial, implementation and ongoing customer success

  • Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position

  • Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management

  • Respond effectively to RFPs

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to travel domestically 50% - 70%

  • Price negotiation experience and experience closing deals

  • Knowledge of related applications, relational databases and web technology

  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied environments

  • Maintain a solid understanding of competition in the areas of product, technology, applications, sales and strategies

Yorktel is currently seeking a Software Sales Specialist who will be a part of Yorktel's software sales group, (internally, 'Yorksoft') working normal business hours, 8:30am-5:30pm ET (some flexibility) from Yorktel HQ, DC Metro Area offices or a manager-approved home-office location. ISSI-1's are expected to work government portals and email inbox(es) per established process/procedures to create 400-500+ quotes per year in timely response to RFQ's then follow up periodically until recorded in CRM as won or lost.

The Software Sales Specialist will work from a Yorktel office 1-3 days per week, depending on distance from home to the closest Yorktel office (alternative arrangements considered, depending on circumstance.) Your Impact
As a Software Sales Specialist you are responsible for the identification, development, coordination and successful conversion of opportunities. You will drive and contribute to the growth of Spendscape by prospecting, building pipelines, and closing sales with targeted companies. Your responsibilities will be leading the entire sales process, from lead qualification to contract closure for new business within your designated region (Europe). In this role, you will engage with multiple stakeholders and decision makers at your prospect clients but also internally within McKinsey. By establishing yourself as a trusted advisor, you will provide proactive thought leadership, identify the best solution setup for client impact, and demonstrate the value that Spendscape can deliver. Collaboration will be key to your success. You will work closely with clients, McKinsey consulting teams, and your Spendscape colleagues to create and close opportunities. This includes collaborating with the communication & marketing team to increase the reach of Spendscape. Your role will also involve representing Spendscape at conferences and events, where you will have the opportunity to enhance you network and promote our offering. Meeting or exceeding pipeline advancement and revenue growth will be a critical part of your responsibilities. To excel in this position, you will need to gain and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of sales processes combined with Spendscape's value proposition and navigating clients' risk procedures within the McKinsey context will also be essential.

Your Growth
'Spendscape by McKinsey', is McKinsey's Cloud-based Software Solution that helps our clients to drive spend transparency, procurement analytics, and value-capture management. Spendscape infuses best-in-class technology and AI-based analytics with deep supply-market and category-sourcing expertise. We are part of McKinsey's global Procurement Consulting Practice and you will be joining a fast-growing global team in the procurement arena bringing cutting-edge technology to clients. You will be based in our McKinsey office in Wroclaw, working with clients and the global Spendscape team of software, analytics and procurement experts.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of proven success in B2B solution sales, experience in technology, ideally SaaS
  • Expertise in selling business value to functional leaders (CPO, COO, CFO) with an emphasis on ROI and TCO models
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-stakeholder sales cycles and close deals
  • Proven track record of proactively developing new business opportunities
  • Knowledge of ERP, S2P, P2P, and procurement point solutions would be beneficial
  • High level of integrity and commitment to company growth
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English
  • Executive presence, self-motivation, and resilience
  • Strong organizing and planning skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
