Responsibilities:
  • Lead the electrical design and engineering of solar PV projects, from concept to construction.
  • Perform detailed system sizing, energy yield assessments, and performance modeling.
  • Specify solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, and other balance-of-system components.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical codes, standards, and utility requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and operations personnel.
  • Conduct technical reviews of third-party designs and proposals.
  • Support grid interconnection studies and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project construction and commissioning.
  • Stay abreast of new solar technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in solar PV system design and engineering.
  • Proficiency in PV design software (e.g., PVSyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope).
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC, UL, and other relevant electrical codes and standards.
  • Experience with energy storage systems integration is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
