We're actively seeking a talented Solution Architect to support enterprise functions such as Finance, Actuarial, HR, Compliance, Risk & Legal, to join our to join our Pacific Life Technology Architecture in Newport Beach, CA.

As a Solution Architect aligned to Corporate functions such as Finance, HR, Actuarial, Risk, Legal, Compliance, you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by providing architecture guidance and direction on our systems and solutions that span our hybrid, multi-cloud environment with several industry leading SaaS and PaaS vendor systems. You will be instrumental in shaping and delivering scalable, secure and future-ready technology solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.

You will fill a new role that sits on a team of over 10 people responsible for the architecture function. Your colleagues will include Architects and fellow technology professionals.

How you'll help move us forward:

• Responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating the efforts of the architecture of a platform and its products.
• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and delivery teams to prioritize features and requirements based on business value, user needs, and technical feasibility.
• Define and align technical architecture (platforms, platform products. technical capabilities) with Pacific Life's business strategy, ensuring that business outcomes are achievable and measurable.
• Design and document the overall structure, components, and interrelationships of a platform (IT systems, applications, data, and infrastructure).
• Develop artifacts describing the architectural components of a platform and its products, critical connection points and linkage to the future state architecture.
• Define appropriate patterns to be developed by platform products.
• Responsible for identification of architectural risks and work with platform owners, program managers, software vendors and platform portfolio architects to create and implement mitigations plans.
• Responsible for review of epics and features (enablers) and ensure that the solution architecture supports those features.
• Participate in solution development, assuring compliance with reference architectures,standards, and guardrails.
• Develop prototypes and proof of concepts to validate design decisions, demonstrate functionality, and gather feedback from stakeholders and end-users.
• Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the planned features, enhancements, and releases over time, and aligns with the organization's strategic priorities.
• Evaluate new technologies and platform/product capabilities to align to business needs.

The experience you bring:

• 8+ years experience as a Sr Architect.
• Strategic planning and blueprinting.
• Product/solution architecture design, assurance and delivery support.

• Concentration in technical architecture with multiple domains.

Job Summary/Purpose:

This position focuses on Middleware Application Management and is responsible for supporting leadership, providing Project and operational support for a defined set of Entergy applications in Middleware area supporting all Business Units. The primary focus of this role will be to support Projects and Operations in Entergy's Tibco environments & Tibco products - TIBCO EMS, Business Works, Business Works CE, Business Events, Mashery, Tibco ActiveSpaces, Container environments and Tibco applications. Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Support SDM in providing customer-centric IT; reliable, predictable, cost-effective, and secure service to the customers.

• Oversight of Operations support and vendor support in the implementation of new releases, upgrades, Patches, or enhancements. Provide leadership to the support teams (Entergy & Partner) and prioritize the work for the team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Sr Solution Architect Level : 8+ years of progressive experience in solution architecture including meeting all Solution Architect skills.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $153,100 to $210,600 at the time of posting. About the Role:

The Senior Regional Solutions Architect (SRSA) will be the consultative technology leader aligned with a solutions-focused capability who creates strong client intimacy with their technical expertise. The SRSA will provide education and thought leadership while translating client business requirements into implementable technology solutions. • Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of regional engineering projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Drive technological innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering function, promoting the adoption of best practices and cutting-edge technologies.
• Develop and manage the regional engineering budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost control.
• Collaborate with regional senior management, other regional engineering leaders, CTO Business Unit leaders, and the Operational Leadership Team to align engineering efforts with business goals and address key issues.
• Ensure that all engineering activities comply with Trace3's engineering standards and guidelines.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of engineering engagements and operations.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with engineering projects and operations to minimize impact on the business.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5-7 years in a senior management or leadership role
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience working in direct sales engineering, or in a sales engineering adjacent environment - a VAR, an OEM, an MSSP, etc.
• Proven track record of transformational change within an engineering organization
• Passion on a cellular level for technology and driving clint-facing change.
• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale and complex engineering projects
• Experience in managing and developing engineering teams, including recruitment, training, and performance management
• Strong financial and business acumen with understanding of a multi-faceted business operation
• Experience in developing and managing budgets for engineering operations, with a track record of cost control and financial efficiency
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution, with a focus on aligning engineering efforts with business goals
• Strong influencing skills to get things done and inspire business transformation
• Ability to partner and collaborate with business and sales leaders across the company
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent time management skills and able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment
• Ability to approach customer and sales requests with a proactive and consultative manner; listen and understand user requests and needs and effectively deliver
• Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills with an ability to present security related concepts to C-Level Executives and non-technical audience
• Conflict negotiation and problem-solving skills and agility
• Ability to travel when needed
