Part-Time Shift: M-F, 4AM - 8AM

Pay rate: $16.42/Hour

An Equipment Operator is responsible for the daily distribution activities, productivity, and quality within the assigned area(s) of a distribution facility. This position is responsible for demonstrating safety, quality and productivity performance and operational expertise. This position will be required to proficiently perform at least one or more distribution-related activities (e.g. order filling, shipping, receiving) on a regular basis with 60% or more of work performed using a forklift or PIT.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform loading, unloading and/or picking of product and materials using powered lifting equipment to move product throughout the facility. May operate stock picker, sit down/stand up equipment, reach truck, etc.

• Contribute to a safe work environment through continuous focus on housekeeping and safety.

• Demonstrate a commitment to our company's core values.

• Interact with supervisors, leads, and/or work groups with information exchanges related to immediate tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education preferred

• Minimum 1 year experience in related field

• Warehouse Experience

• OSHA Certification License

• Basic ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, using the English language

• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication)

• Basic computer skills (accessing and navigating the internet; familiar with the keyboard; opening, closing and saving documents)

• Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds regularly, up to 150 pounds infrequently

• Ability to push, pull, grasp, and fine manipulation of equipment using hands is ongoing throughout the work hours

Overview:
The Lockbox Remittance Specialist is responsible for servicing all aspects of commercial lockbox operations. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of customer lockbox deposits while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and customer service.

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for the operation of equipment associated with the sorting lines.

How you will perform the role…

  • Responsible for the operation of sorting lines to include conveyors, optical sorters, shredders, metal separators, and particle screeners.
  • Responsible for Inputting the appropriate parameters to maximize efficiency of the NIR/Optical sorters.
  • Responsible for following the assigned production schedule.
  • Responsible for keeping the area(s) and machine(s) clean and free of debris.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting the NIR/Optical sorters; sorting parameters, compressed air quality and volume, belt speed, particle distribution, and output quality.
  • Responsible for monitoring conveyor belts, shredder output and particle distribution, and NIR/Optical sorter efficiency.
  • Responsible for the filing of work requests for repairs or preventive maintenance.
  • Participate and support, for every employee, a safe work environment by following all facility safety and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Participate and support, for every employee, and visitor; the adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we need from you…

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.

  • Minimum of 6 months-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Basic understanding of Safety procedures.

Hagerstown Family Store Store Clerk

This position is responsible for: The Store Clerk function may include a regular shift as part of the daily workload. Assists store customers in donating, selecting, and purchasing store items; operates and maintains a cash register; responds to customers' questions; maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the store displays; ensures the security of store items and the cash register. The Sorting Room Worker function receives, sorts, prices, and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines the suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists customers purchasing items from The Salvation Army by ringing-up sales utilizing a cash register; collects monies, counts change and prepares receipts; prepares and packages purchased items; prepares and balances the cash drawer and runs routine register printouts; prepares and delivers bank deposits; ensures the security and accountability of all cash register funds and sales records in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Assists customers by explaining store policy and responding to questions regarding the pricing and/or purchasing of items; ensures that all customers visiting the store have a pleasant experience.
  • Assists customers who are donating items to The Salvation Army; directs customers to the proper loading/unloading area, may assist with hauling donations to the storage area; prepares and provides tax receipts as needed.
  • Answers the store telephone in a tactful and courteous manner; assists customers by responding to questions and providing directions and/or general information; may schedule and record donation pick-ups.
  • Opens and/or closes store doors in accordance with the store schedule.
  • Receives, inspects and sorts donated items such as clothes, shoes, household items, bric-a-brack, etc. according to the category and condition.
  • Selects items suitable for store display and distributes same to appropriate areas for further sorting and/or pricing, discards items in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintains a warehouse area in a neat and orderly manner; cleans floors, tables, and work areas.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy materials, supplies and equipment frequently (more than 25 lbs.).
  • Heavy mobility duties are usually performed by combinations of standing, walking, climbing ladders or steps, bending, reaching, or transporting merchandise on frequent change basis relieved by fewer periods of sitting. Distance of travel is usually within the same building.
