Qualifications

Vocational Degree in audio/video technology or related field with two years of experience in setup and operation of audio/video, lighting, and sound equipment supporting live performances, or equivalent education and experience. Valid driver's license required. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.

Additional Requirements

Background check, drug screening, medical screening, and verification of education, certifications, and licenses prior to employment. Knowledge of audio/video equipment, sound and projection systems, live switchers, event lighting, stage setup, networking, and wiring. Proficiency in Windows and Mac software and computers. **Position Overview**
The Associate Project Manager is responsible for managing an entire small event or a portion of a larger project as assigned. This position will monitor progress and performance against the project plan; identifying, resolving, escalating operational problems, and minimizing delays. The Associate Project Manager will ensure successful execution of events by following Technical and Production Standards and supporting the implementation of processes and SOP's that drive consistency in event production. This position will partner with the Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Associate Director, Project Management and will communicate onsite event execution plans with all parties. The Associate Project Manager will report to the Associate Director, Project Management.
**Key Job Responsibilities**
_Event Project Management_
- Assist in creating and deploying a detailed work plan for a portion of an event or a small project which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
- Review and make recommendations on both equipment and labor requirements for the event and coordinate with the Project Management team.
- Analyze and manage project risk to ensure customer satisfaction and that Technical and Production Standards are followed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels of their organization and provide outstanding customer service while focusing on client retention.
_Event Execution_
- Supervise the technical aspects of the job and provide intermediate to advanced operational troubleshooting and problem solving during the technical set up, operation, and dismantle of basic to advanced large-scale audio-visual systems.
- Assist with scheduling equipment deliveries and pickups for the assigned event.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve audio-visual and IT equipment.
- Follow up with clients on-site to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly.
- Monitors events and checks in on event session throughout the day.
_Financial Management_
- Monitor cost control measures and report challenges to Project Management team.
- Assist Project Management team with securing local internal resources to minimize external spend.
- Ensure compliance with Encore Policies and Procedures to minimize company's exposure to liability claims and property damage, theft and misappropriation.
_Administrative & Training_
- Complete Encore post-event process, to include the completion of all post-show reporting, confirming all workforce hours are accurately entered and ensuring that outsourced equipment is returned to appropriate provider as assigned.
- Assist in the training and development of technicians to improve customer experience.
- Achieve Technical Level 3 Certification per Encore Technical Skill Set Matrix within 180 days.
**Job Requirements**
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of knowledge of audio-visual or related technical skill set
- 1+ years on-site crew experience
- Venue audio-visual and strong technical background preferred
- Strong Client relationship skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Works well under pressure
- Ability to manage complex job functions within a fast-paced environment

As a Manager, Sound Design for the League of Legends team, you will be directly responsible for the production of high quality audio content of multiple products. Your consistent high standards and attention to detail will ensure that the content your team produces meets the very high expectations of our players. Youll manage a high performing remote team, and using your broad knowledge of the creativity, craft and tech of games production, support and direct them through the process of making awesome stuff.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the creative and technical quality of audio content for League of Legends PC, ensuring it is compelling, high-quality, and bug-free

Collaborate closely with Rioters across teams, regions & disciplines to align audio goals with broader product initiatives, stakeholder needs, and efficient production practices

Guide the ideation, conception, design, and implementation of sound design, voice-over, and music that supports and enhances gameplay and aligns with product goals

Manage a remote, multidisciplinary team of world-class audio professionals by sourcing AAA talent, providing mentorship, and developing their craft through training and feedback

Set and uphold the bar for audio excellence, reviewing deliverables, directing day-to-day activities, and ensuring alignment with the game's vision and evolving player expectations

Create and execute audio plans and proposals for new features or major content, including timelines, resource needs, quality targets, and delivery milestones

Design, record (studio and field), edit, and implement sound effects for characters, environments, and features using industry-standard tools, techniques, and middleware

Drive the creative use of sound and VO to support gameplay clarity, narrative goals, and esports integrity

Manage outsourced audio content partners and remote team members, ensuring timely delivery and integration of high-quality assets

Operate autonomously when needed, proactively solving complex challenges with creative and efficient solutions.

Required Qualifications

5+ years experience developing sound for game, or shipped multiple AAA titles

Expertise in the holistic game audio process (Sound Design, Voice Over, Music Implementation, Technology, Player Experience, etc.)

Expertise in game engine technical implementation and Wwise audio middleware.

Experience with sound design creation tools (DAW, Izotope, Waves, Melda, Native Instruments, etc) and techniques

Experience in setting up sound studios, audio hardware, and software setup

Experience with voice over processing tools and techniques

Experience giving thorough direction and delivering timely, clear feedback

A strong communicator and able to convey abstract/sophisticated ideas in a concise way, in English or in Mandarin

Desired Qualifications

Proven experience leading/mentoring teams and individuals

Growth minded and motivated towards teaching, enabling, and coaching other sound designers

Familiarity with League of Legends - the game, its characters, its products, its players and community
