The Liberty Mutual US Technology Data and Analytics Engineering (DAE) team is seeking a passionate Data Governance Solutions Architect for its Data Strategy & Design (DS&D) team to support Analytics data ecosystems enabling business and technology capabilities through solutions in data management, Lakehouse, Business Intelligence, Data Science/Advanced Analytics via cloud technologies. This individual will work within the Data and Analytics Engineering (DAE) group within U.S Retail Markets (USRM) Technology reporting to the Director of Data Strategy & Design (DS&D) team.
As a Data Governance Solutions Architect, you'll enhance and enable a Data Governance strategy to manage the information life cycle effectively. Develop/Drive governance strategy working directly with senior management and teams to ensure alignment with the overall objectives. Identify data governance capability gaps and define technical solutions to build those capabilities, write standards and policies for Data Governance for guiding the development of data systems, technical and product standards based on business plans and long-term strategies, while working in an agile environment that has the creative energy of a start-up and the full backing and comprehensive benefits of a Fortune 100 company.

About the role:
- Define scope and priorities for developing, deploying and/or improving data management standards, policies, and processes enhancing the quality and completeness of the organization's data.
- Create and own the solution architecture for enterprise data governance initiatives; define standards, integration patterns and technical roadmaps for metadata management, data catalogue, lineage, data quality and data modelling; support design reviews and delivery across projects.
- Identify key risks for data management and ensure compliance with related policies, roles & responsibilities and standards.
- Work with the Data Council and Data Owners across business units to define and enable enforcement mechanisms for data governance policies and standards
- Maintain overall accountability for the Data Governance program, inclusive of communication, stakeholder involvement, metrics and reporting, working group activities, conveying business value recognized through governance-facilitated activities.
- Serve as SPOC for Data Governance related activities
- Maintain and promote key data governance deliverables/assets, including data policies, data standards and data management roles and decision frameworks
- Design and own future state concept of operations through the development of business process models and data flow diagrams
- Document, assess, influence and synthesize business requirements to develop, enable and advance data governance and stewardship capabilities
- Define Key Performance Indicators and dashboards to monitor the effectiveness and adoption of the data governance program
- Partner with business leadership to identify and prioritize problems, and opportunities for data governance, and translate them into program objectives and requirements.
- Ability to conceive and portray the big data picture, analyzes current state and conceives desired future state, and conceives projects needed to close the gap
- Accelerate delivery by forming a network of positive relationships with influencers within the enterprise and beyond.
- Time management and multitasking skills to effectively meet challenging deadlines
- Proficiency in data modelling, very good understanding of data management concepts such as 3NF, Dimensional and their specific applications
- Experience in Agile development methodologies

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in technical discipline;
- 5 or more years of experience working as a data governance lead in a global company in a complex, multi-platform distributed environment.
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise data governance programs, including governance models, policies, standards, and technical architecture.
- Knowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection management practices
- Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
- Knowledge of data related to US and international regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
- Strong project leadership and management skills to lead organizational change to effectively meet strategic and tactical goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to present to a target audience
- Must be detail orientated/articulate with strong time management and organizational skills
- Proven management/supervisory experience
- Expertise in a wide variety of database technologies, from RDBMS like Snowflake, Oracle or DB2 to NoSQL systems such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or Elasticsearch, and can explain their varied use cases.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. **Required Skills:**
Technical Sourcing Manager, Data Center Power Responsibilities:
1. Develop domain strategies to yield optimal economic and supply risk outcomes for technology infrastructure
2. Influence internal infrastructure product direction both commercially and technically to yield optimal data-driven results. Provide technical, supplier expertise and consulting to cross-functional partners for technology migration and lower TCO

4. Maintain current knowledge of the technology and industry trends for the relevant power technologies and perform competitive analysis on relevant products

Manager Data Center Materials for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to help us expand and scale the next generation of Oracle Cloud services. Our Global Strategic Sourcing Group is responsible for strategic decisions that impact suppliers cost, technical capabilities, and supply availability to deliver hardware to our customers. A Strategic Sourcing Manager must have a blend of business knowledge and technical requirements that enables them to make the best decisions for our customers and products. The ideal candidate will use their technical knowledge to negotiate the best supplier deals that meet and support our future growth.
This Strategic sourcing role must have experience in sourcing data center equipment, with strong supplier relationships and infrastructure knowledge. You will be expected to develop strategic sourcing category plans, and communicate those plans internally for cross functional alignment. A Strategic Sourcing Manager should have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to represent Oracle Cloud to senior leaders and executives at our suppliers.
**Responsibilities**
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in supply chain strategies for continuous cost improvement through partner negotiations. Creates supply chain standards and communicates product standards/specifications to suppliers. Conducts competitive analysis of suppliers, cost models, market analysis and supply chain alternatives. Evaluates submitted proposals/quotes against Oracle standards. Recommend and qualify new suppliers that meet both stakeholder, competitive cost and product standards. Negotiates and executes supplier contractual agreements while sustaining product competitiveness. Provide supplier performance feedback to ensure Oracle standards are achieved. Creates and implements supply chain initiatives and improvements to drive efficiencies and best practices. Develops constructive stakeholder relationships which involve direct interaction with different Oracle lines of business and Oracle suppliers. Influences product selection with stakeholders based on continuity of supply, cost, and technology.
