As a Talent Acquisition Intern in the 2026 Hussmann Summer Internship Program, you will gain experience and insight into the life of a Talent Acquisition professional and will be part of a team?that?strives to hire and develop the best candidates to join our organization?You will support the TA team in executing high-volume, full-cycle recruitment for a variety of US technical and professional positions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with sourcing candidates including direct sourcing, database mining, cold-calling, networking with online communities, industry associations and social marketing.

  • Conduct phone screens to evaluate candidates against defined job criteria, and recommend candidates based upon skills and experience.

  • Schedule interviews, gather interview feedback, and conduct interview process audits to ensure compliance.

  • Assist with developing and tracking Technician employer branding efforts.

  • Deliver recruitment process excellence by following internal policies and procedures.

  • Network with senior leaders, associates, and other program interns to learn about our organization.

  • Tour Hussmann's 1.6 million square foot manufacturing facility, our Global Hub, and the R&D Lab.

  • Participate in community stewardship outreach and offsite events.

  • Compete in the annual Ideation & Innovation Challenge.

Ideation & Innovation Challenge: Throughout the twelve-week program, Hussmann interns will compete with a team of fellow interns in the Hussmann Ideation & Innovation Challenge. After being divided into cross-functional groups, interns will work to find a solution to the provided problem statement. They will then present the solution to a panel of judges, executive leaders, and the organization to compete in the IIC competition.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in school pursuing a minimum of a bachelor's degree?

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA?

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Position Summary

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 1-2 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or administrative support.
  • Previous Airline experience.
  • Pilot recruitment experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their organizational needs and market challenges to deliver exceptional talent solutions. Key responsibilities include leading full-cycle recruitment processes, developing innovative sourcing methodologies, building strong candidate pipelines, and ensuring a superior candidate experience. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of talent market dynamics, employer branding, and diversity & inclusion recruitment strategies. You will collaborate closely with client stakeholders, from HR leaders to hiring managers, to design and implement effective recruitment plans. This position requires exceptional leadership, analytical skills, and a proven ability to manage complex recruitment projects. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage comprehensive talent acquisition strategies for assigned client accounts.
  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing and recruitment plans to attract top-tier talent.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and candidates.
  • Conduct in-depth needs assessments with client hiring teams.
  • Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, from requisition to offer.
  • Utilize data analytics to inform recruitment strategies and track key metrics.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives in all talent acquisition efforts.
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the talent acquisition team.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and best practices in talent acquisition.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with at least 3 years in a senior or principal capacity within a consultancy or corporate setting.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale or complex recruitment projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in diverse sourcing channels and recruitment marketing.
  • Strong understanding of talent analytics and HR technology (ATS, CRM).
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience in developing and implementing D&I recruitment strategies.
  • Leadership potential and experience mentoring junior recruiters.
  • Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) are a plus.
