**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Specification Writer** to join our team! In this role you will **support the production of specifications and coordinate the integration into the construction documents.**
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Develop, revise, and maintain technical specifications and the Manual of Design Criteria;
+ Develop technical documents to support design, construction, contracts, and operations processes for capital and non-capital projects;
+ Prepare policy and procedure documentation;
+ Maintain the most up-to-date versions of technical standards in an orderly manner;
+ Conduct timely technical reviews of draft documents;
+ Perform additional assignments as directed by the Task Manager.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or a related field;
+ Minimum of ten years of total experience in which minimum of five (5) years of experience in preparing technical specifications and documents for rail transit projects;
+ Ability to work collaboratively across departments;
+ Extensive experience with all Microsoft Office applications;
+ Ability to write clearly and professionally;
+ Ability to produce communications quickly and efficiently;
+ General knowledge of rail transit agencies' design standards for architecture, engineering and construction, as well as safety and security regulations such as fixed-rail clearances, level-boarding, and OSHA policies.

**Position Summary**
+ The Label Specification Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of regulatory label content and approving the label specifications submitted for the Private Brands onboarding program into the Private Brands Product and Packaging Specification System. This is a contract position to support initial onboarding of current food and nonfood products into the new specification system. This role will work collaboratively with the regulatory team, produce excellence team and suppliers to ensure that label specifications submitted for existing products are correct, compliant, and aligned with current label artwork.
**Essential Functions**
+ Review, validate and approve label content submitted within the Product & Packaging Specification against current label artwork PDFs for onboarding product specifications for food and non-food products
+ Identify inconsistencies and communicate necessary amendments to label specifications through written and verbal communication to suppliers and elevate concerns that may prompt label updates to the business team
+ Collaborate with product excellence team to ensure supplier requirements are met within the label specifications before locking down for approval
+ Collect and upload current label artwork PDFs used for review into the Product Files as part of label specification review and approval process
+ Maintain basic knowledge of information required to appear on packaging per USDA, FDA, FTC, and State level laws
**Knowledge, Education & Experience**
+ Preferred Bachelor of Science Food & Nutrition, Food Science, or related field (e.g. Nutritionist, Dietician) or equivalent job experience
**Skills & Abilities**
+ Basic Knowledge of product and food labeling (USDA, FDA, FTC, State)

Essential Skills:

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS

Our client is seeking a to contract with a highly motivated and experienced Test Specifications/Abstract Coordinator to coordinate and support the creation, development and management of test specifications and test abstracts for the Natrium Advanced Reactor Demonstration project.
The Test Specifications/Abstract Coordinator will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of technology with a significant global impact, working at the forefront of nuclear innovation, and will collaborate with world-class engineers and business leaders to bring groundbreaking reactor designs and related products to market.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as the liaison between reactor/plant design groups and the Commissioning/Operations team.
- Coordinates creation of test abstracts and test specifications by design groups to support the commissioning/startup operations team developing test procedures
- Develops and trains system design engineers on how author test abstracts and test specifications. Work with design groups to populate this information
- Supports procedure management and schedule
- Drive appropriate cross-discipline review and approval of test specification to ensure all required test data can be obtained to demonstrate system quality and functionality
- Ensure test documentation is completed in a timely manner, collaborating with engineering teams to facilitate timely resolution of challenges and inputs
- In coordination with Operations, develop and implement testing strategies that encompass functional, regression, performance, and acceptance testing
- Participate in design reviews to provide early feedback on testability and quality
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience with at least 2 years of experience in hardware testing or reactor/reactor plant testing
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation such as abstracts, specifications and procedures, when necessary
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Experience with design engineering and systems engineering
- Understands startup test programs and inputs needed to support a startup test plan and requisite procedures
- Ability to review design documents and translate into test specifications
