*Location: This position will be within the Verona School District.
*Hours: Opportunity to work between 0.8 FTE - 1.0 FTE. Options include flexible summer schedules or full-time year round.
Job Description:
- This school-based position is a critical component in the success of Children's Wisconsin's Mental and Behavioral Health's strategies of increasing Access , reducing Stigma , engaging in Early Detection, and Prevention and Education .
- Works as a core member of a multi-disciplinary, integrated care team that includes school psychologists, school counselors, social workers, teachers and other identified school and community partners.
- Typical activities include mental health condition management, individual, family and group therapy and treatment planning, anticipatory guidance, and early intervention for common childhood MBH concerns in one or more school based clinic settings.
- Uses trauma-informed, evidence-based and inclusive practices.
- Additional duties include consultation, education, and outreach to colleagues, trainees, family, and community members.
- Master's Degree in Social Work or related field.
- To qualify for the Mental Health Therapist position, must have 3000 hours post Master's experience or PhD or PsyD from an APA accredited program (this is not required for the Therapist in Training position).
- Must maintain current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Professional Counselor (LPC) from the State of Wisconsin and satisfy continuing education requirements OR have an applicable training license from the stated list for the Therapist in training position.
- Preferred experience working with children and families in a school or integrated health care setting.
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality individual, group and family therapy using Evidence-Based Practices.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with caregivers, colleagues, medical staff, and community partners.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Will consider therapists in training who have relevant experience and are working on their 3,000 hours towards licensure.

- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with athletes to address performance-related issues and psychological challenges.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 7 years of clinical and applied experience in sports psychology.
- Proven experience working directly with athletes and sports teams at collegiate or professional levels.
- In-depth knowledge of performance enhancement techniques, mental skills training, and psychopathology in athletes.
- Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills.
- Strong ethical understanding and commitment to confidentiality.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience supervising other professionals is a plus.

- Excellent diagnostic, counseling, and intervention skills.
- Strong ability to build rapport and trust with athletes and stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a remote caseload effectively.
