The Lockheed Martin FBM Program is seeking an **Electrical Systems Engineer** to join our team in Denver, Colorado.
As an Electrical Systems Engineer on the FBM Life Extension 2 (LE2) program, you will:
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and subsystems, including power distribution, control systems, and communication networks
- Develop and implement electrical system architectures, including the selection of components and materials
- Create and review electrical system design documents, including schematics, block diagrams, and wiring diagrams
- Perform electrical system analysis, including circuit analysis, simulation, and modeling
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineering to ensure electrical system integration and compatibility
- Develop and implement electrical system testing and validation plans, including the creation of test procedures and test reports
- Troubleshoot and debug electrical system issues, including the identification and correction of defects

SUMMARY:
Primarily responsible for developing electro-mechanical systems and system architecture and its associated documentation per established quality system procedures. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to meet product and project requirements, collaborating with engineers from a variety of companies and industries.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for creating and building internal requirement sets and assisting the customer in developing user requirements, when needed.
- Support developing the risk management plan and report.
- Assist in creation, review, and documentation of risk analyses.
- May assist development of a Hazard Analysis.
- Accountable for ensuring product verification and validation and ensuring traceability is met for all requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate interdisciplinary technical discussions within project teams.
- Responsible for coordinating and documenting system level analysis including system modeling, algorithm development, simulations, and system architecture.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers on projects.
- Accountable for the technical project scope and effort.
- Participate in the efforts to identify and implement technology re-use.
- Perform and participate in technical design reviews during product realization.
- Assist in evaluating technical talent.
- Identify technical training and tools for the systems engineering team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline.
- Master's Degree in Engineering is a plus.
- Five or more years of experience, preferable in the medical device field, in the discipline of systems engineering.
- Experience with system designs compliant with IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO/EN 14971, and IEC 62304 standards.
- Experience with requirements management tools is a plus.
- Experience with modeling tools (Matlab, Simulink, etc.) is a plus.
- Knowledge of FDA 510(k), PMA, and De Novo pre-market submission processes is a plus.
- Experience developing Class II and III medical devices is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $62.00/hr.

We are looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our System Engineering department at Columbia Generating Station. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in electrical engineering, prior experience in nuclear power or other industrial facilities, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
**POSITION OVERVIEW**
1. Proactively manage system performance to meet safety, production, and cost goals, preventing critical equipment failures and improving system reliability and availability.
2. Maintain System Health Reports and develop and implement performance monitoring plans for assigned systems.
3. Perform regular system walkdowns to monitor system condition and performance, documenting findings and ensuring any issues are addressed promptly.
4. Optimize preventive maintenance strategies based on maintenance history, OEM recommendations, and industry operating experience.
5. Initiate and evaluate projects or design changes to improve equipment reliability, supporting long-range planning and system life-cycle management.
6. Review plant and industry operating experience for applicability to assigned systems, providing technical assistance for regulatory responses and participating in industry groups.
7. Provide system work priorities for online and outage work, communicating the need to accomplish emergent tasks and recommending work for inclusion or deferral.
**DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Prior experience in the nuclear power industry is preferred.
- Experience with power systems and/or control and instrumentation systems.

**GENERAL SUMMARY**
Provide independent engineering service and support to perform highly complex engineering tasks requiring specialized skills and broad experience in the application of engineering fundamentals in support of the design modification, operating, and independent assessment of Energy Northwest facilities. Serve as an advisor to others.
**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**
+ Perform highly complex engineering analyses and designs in support of operations, systems, programs, audit inspections, and assessments requiring skills and experience gained through application of engineering methods and analysis, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
+ Work with minimal supervision.
+ Serve as an advisor providing advice and counsel on assignments concerned with specialized or unique engineering requirements. Solutions provided involve unconventional or innovative problem solving techniques.
+ Provide technical leadership and training on highly complex or extended projects.
+ Provide leadership of small groups to resolve complex issues.
+ Provide technical direction and leadership routinely to other engineers; serve as a mentor. Provide training to others.
+ Identify need and initiate development of new policies, programs, plans, and procedures to meet strategic objectives.
+ Assure compliance with regulatory and industry guidance. Provide interpretation of industry guidance for application.

Engineering employees are expected to be available and to support the following activities as a condition of employment with Energy Northwest:
+ Emergency Response Organization (ERO) including being on-call (24/7) during your required team duty (2 weeks out of every 8 weeks).
+ 12-hour work shifts during outages as part of our overall Outage support (24/7)
+ Engineering duty cycle support (24/7) including call-out availability during your responsible duty assignment. (This is a shared responsibility across all engineering positions).
**REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
**Principal Engineer**
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university and seven years of engineering experience; OR a high school diploma or GED and PE license obtained by accredited examination plus eight years of engineering experience.
**Senior Engineer**
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and three years of discipline specific engineering experience; OR a PE license obtained by an accredited examination and five years of discipline specific engineering experience. High school diploma or GED is required.
**Staff Engineer**
Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and at least one year of engineering experience; OR a PE license obtained by accredited examination and at least one year of engineering experience. A high school diploma or GED is required.

**Principal Engineer Salary** : $122,681 - $84,021
**Midpoint** : 153,351
**Senior Engineer Salary** : 106,670 - 160,006
**Midpoint** : 133,338
**Staff Engineer Salary** : 92,750 - 139,124
**Midpoint** : 115,937
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
**Incentive Compensation**
This role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
