As an Electrical Systems Engineer on the FBM Life Extension 2 (LE2) program, you will:
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and subsystems, including power distribution, control systems, and communication networks

V2X, located in Indianapolis, IN is searching for an energetic and highly motivated candidate to join its Electrical Hardware Engineering organization. The Electrical Systems Engineer is responsible for the design and development of rugged military electrical systems and/or subsystems for ground, shipboard, and/or airborne applications. These systems include Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) modules, custom circuit card assemblies (CCA) and modules, existing Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), interconnect/cabling, and SW/FW for DOD applications. Candidates must exhibit a high degree of initiative and sound judgment, working independently and as a member of the Electrical Hardware Development Team. It is essential the individual be capable of adapting to changing conditions and work cooperatively in a team environment. The candidate shall architect electrical systems and subsystems performing requirement review, analysis, and derivation; performing trade studies for critical subsystem and component selection; performing system and circuit analysis on power schemes and digital and analog interfaces. The candidate shall design electrical systems to meet a set of requirements, sometimes defining those requirements. The candidate is required to utilize analog electronics simulation tools such as LTSpice, QSpice and power conversion simulation programs like SIMETRIX to model design performance. The candidate shall have familiarity with component selection and schematic capture such as Altium Designer or Siemens Xpedition. The candidate shall perform electrical schematic capture and guide Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB layout and technical drawing creation. The candidate may be required to utilize analysis and simulation tools like Mathcad and MATLAB to assess electrical design performance and robustness. The candidate shall be able to lead the electrical design team in developing and performing design reviews, system integration, and system verification and validation testing. A key responsibility of this position is to perform failure analysis, root cause identification, and corrective action planning both at component level as well as subsystem/system level.
**Additional responsibilities include:**
+ Work within cross functional teams
+ Perform work within the bounds of a given schedule, and sometimes define the schedule
+ Develop design architecture at the sub-system and system level
+ Develop, review, and approve of white papers
+ Participate in proposal development and technical writing
+ Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff

The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite as routine communication will occur through Teams, OneNote, Azure DevOps, Excel, and e-mail.
**Required Skills:**
+ A minimum of ten years professional work experience required, or seven years' experience with a Master's degree in a STEM related discipline.
+ Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to be adaptable to changing priorities and assignments

SUMMARY:
Primarily responsible for developing electro-mechanical systems and system architecture and its associated documentation per established quality system procedures. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to meet product and project requirements, collaborating with engineers from a variety of companies and industries.

- Responsible for creating and building internal requirement sets and assisting the customer in developing user requirements, when needed.
- Support developing the risk management plan and report.
- Assist in creation, review, and documentation of risk analyses.
- May assist development of a Hazard Analysis.
- Accountable for ensuring product verification and validation and ensuring traceability is met for all requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate interdisciplinary technical discussions within project teams.
- Responsible for coordinating and documenting system level analysis including system modeling, algorithm development, simulations, and system architecture.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers on projects.
- Accountable for the technical project scope and effort.
- Participate in the efforts to identify and implement technology re-use.

QUALIFICATIONS:
