Primary Responsibilities of the Staff Nurse:
  • Provide medical treatment and administer medication according to physician orders within the scope of their applicable board and state regulations for assistant living.
  • Provide world class care and service for our residents while remaining flexible and adapt to change.
  • Assist residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
  • Work independently (with minimal direct supervision) and with a team to make decisions, organize/prioritize tasks effectively, document clearly, and follow through on assignments.
  • Serve as charge nurse on shift for the personal assistants under the direction of the Wellness Leadership team

Requirements

  • Must have a caring heart, willing to serve others.
  • Current license for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) issued by the state.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Assisted Living or Long-term care experience preferred
  • Current First Aid certification preferred

Job Overview:

The Support team at Saba plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant by assisting with a variety of tasks that contribute to an exceptional dining experience. While FFL was founded in the wake of hurricane Katrina, our founders recognized the need to address the longstanding inequities that have shaped life outcomes for the most marginalized of Louisianans. Our programs grew in response to these needs, and today FFL focuses on racial justice, climate justice, criminal justice reform, economic opportunity, LGBTQ organizing, and support for Louisiana's vibrant arts and culture via:

  • Investment: We redistribute resources to on the ground projects, many of whom cannot access traditional philanthropy. Each year, FFL makes grants to support organizations and projects throughout Louisiana in our key program areas.)
  • Power building: We build the capacity of our partners and grantees to effect change in their communities. Position Description

The Staff Accountant worksunder the supervision of the CFO, maintaining vendor files and accounts payables, financial reports and general ledgers; preparing and analyzing budgets; and performing general accounting functions. The Staff Accountant provides administrative support to the foundation to ensure efficiency of operations, effective delivery of grant-making and community activities and high-quality services to nonprofits, community partners, Board of Directors and other key constituents. This position provides the individual with a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic social justice organization and a diverse team to build stronger more sustainable communities statewide.

The position will be based in New Orleans. The position may require travel, particularly between the Baton Rouge and New Orleans offices, as well as program meetings throughout the state and some conference travel. The Staff Accountant is an exempt position, primarily 9-5, Monday to Friday. However, additional hours including evenings and weekends may be required from time to time as well as some travel.

Duties and Responsibilities

The following is a summary of the duties required.

  • Responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, preparing journal entries, detailed reports and account reconciliations.
  • Entering invoices and printing of checks, preparing and posting of entries.
  • Assist CFO in preparing budget forecasting by fund source and organization-wide.
  • Ability to work with various project managers to guide project and annual budget forecasting.
  • Responsible for managing operational data and ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Assist CFO in development of operational procedures and documentation of data flow.
  • Assist CFO in development of system controls to ensure data integrity.

  • Assist in the month-end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and reconciliation.
  • A basic understanding of Inter-fund transactions and cost allocations.

Required Skills
  • Bachelors degree in accounting and 3 4 years of nonprofit accounting work experience OR equivalent external accounting work experience OR equivalent formal training in related duties.

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with 6 plus years experience implementing SAP solutions in the major Materials Management (MM) modules including IM, WM, LE, EDI in SAP ECC 6.0 and above.

  • Experience MM and integration with SAP FICO, PS, SD, QM, PM, PP, RRB in SAP ECC 6.0 or above.

NOTE: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience.

The salary range for this position is 110,700.00 - 147,600.00 - 184,600.00 USD Annual.
