+ Prepares and completes documentation including Work Orders, USAF Supply, and company forms and updates Maximo. Prepares assets/equipment for air/sea/road haul shipments IAW Technical Orders, Manuals, Checklist, Regulations, Maintenance Action Sheets and UTC Configuration listings.
+ Performs servicing and/or maintenance of in-use assets as required.
+ Repairs, inspects, cleans, operates and maintain contingency plumbing facilities such as Laundry, Kitchen, Latrines and Showers.

Must wear specialized safety equipment such as respirators and protective clothing in performing duties. Special attention must be used when completing repairs due to potential fire/explosion hazards, including fuels, oils, and unknown hazards.

**We are hiring for FIRST SHIFT**
**What You Will Do:**
+ Set up and operate a variety of sheet metal working equipment to perform diversified sheet metal fabrication to close tolerances following established methods.
+ Welds various types of metals and alloys in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions for high pressure and strength requirements.
+ Operates equipment in a safe manner per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Monitor process as items are being produced to ensure quality and accuracy documenting the operations performed.
+ Verify all operations have been inspected and completed before moving completed items to next work cell.
+ Organize and maintain the work area.
+ Maintain all the equipment as instructed by the preventative maintenance documentation.
+ Performs routine tasks as directed and under close supervision.
+ Some shipping and receiving duties as well
**What You Need to Succeed:**
+ Fabricating and welding experience (preferred).
+ Ability to work under minimal supervision.
+ Ability to handle complex issues and problems.
+ Ability to understand and follow directions.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Ability to pass all required drug screen and background checks.
+ Team player attitude.
+ Manual dexterity.

**Job Summary** **:**
Continuous Improvement: Promotes a culture of continuous improvement within the organization by seeking feedback from employees, implementing best practices, and implementing innovative ideas.
Provides strong support for operators to turn improvement ideas into safe and workable solutions
Support Rapid Improvement Events in the application and development of ideas
Guides and supports employees through change initiatives by communicating the benefits, addressing concerns, and providing necessary training and resources.
**Responsibilities:**
· Manufacture tables, workstations, trolleys, tool holders, mistake proofing, accessories, ergonomic assists and any other device that helps improve safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity objectives. Modify existing equipment to improve its usefulness in the process and perform advance fabrication and welding activities.
· Obtain 9SPS certification and solve problems related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity objectives
· Develop a preventative maintenance plan for shop equipment
· Support 5S implementation and maintenance for RIE activities
· Coach and support adherence and execution of Management of Change (MOC) activities within the operation
**Qualifications:**
1. High School Diploma or GED, including certification in welding.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a manufacturer, machinist, mechanic, maintenance, or related.
3. Skills in the construction, use and maintenance of materials, tools and/or equipment.
4. Welding skills.
5. Math and measurement skills.
6. Good interpersonal relationships.
7. Oral and written communication skills.
8. Skills in reading plans.
