The Department of Urology at Stanford University seeks a urologic oncologist to join the Department as Assistant Professor in the University Medical Line. We are particularly interested in candidates who possess outstanding surgical skills in both open and robotic surgery, and who will pursue scholarship in basic, translational, or clinical sciences.

The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Individuals appointed as Assistant Professors will have completed their house staff training and, where appropriate, postdoctoral fellowship training. They must demonstrate excellence or promise of excellence in the overall mix of contributions in clinical care, teaching and scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine appropriate to the programmatic need upon which the appointment will be based. There should be evidence that candidates have the promise to attain regional recognition for excellence in the overall mix of contributions. If these individuals have not had formal teaching experience, they should have demonstrated during their house staff and fellowship training a commitment to teaching, and they should have the potential to meet or exceed acceptable standards in teaching.

The successful applicant should be board-certified or board-eligible with an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) and fellowship training in urologic oncology. We expect the successful candidate to develop a robust research program with the goal to attain national recognition and independent extramural funding. About the Role

The Director of Institutional Research leads the institutional research function for Stanford University, exercising analytical leadership over:

  • Research studies on the university's performance of its mission. Examples include studies into student success and degree pathways, predictive analytics, and comparative studies leveraging peer data.
  • Creation of dashboards and decision support tools.
  • Reporting of core institutional metrics, such as population headcounts and degree completions. The Director of IR oversees reporting to governmental agencies and external bodies on Stanford's behalf.
  • In collaboration with the Data Governance Program Director, establishes data definitions and terms of appropriate use for data related to students and the educational mission.

The audiences for the work of the institutional research team include the Board of Trustees and executive university leadership. Increasingly, however, the Director of IR leads efforts to provide information and insight to all university constituencies, including faculty, students, and staff.

Collaborating with other directors in IR&DS, the Director of IR determines which findings to share publicly through the IR&DS website. The Director of IR ensures that university stakeholders receive timely, rigorous, and accurate reporting and analysis. The Director of IR achieves the mission and goals of the group through the management of six institutional research analysts.

The Director of IR reports to the Associate Vice Provost and Director of IR&DS.

Your Day Will Likely Include:

  • Proactively identify the issues/challenges having the most value to the university and determine methodologies for collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources on these issues.
  • Create multi-year strategic plans to ensure that the university will have access to data and findings needed for decision support and program evaluation.
  • Advise senior management on programmatic and policy development. Provide input to university leadership on policies and organizational practices.
  • Advise and consult on analytical efforts outside of the organization, including for other university units and for peer consortia.
  • Drive collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources. Assures reliable and consistent data is maintained and available for both ad hoc and longitudinal inquiries
  • Create research designs and analytical plans. Use statistical or other techniques to analyze data.
  • Create communication plans and strategies for ensuring that university stakeholders and decision-makers receive information in the manner that is most suited to the audience.
  • Create quality assurance plans and strategies to ensure that the findings produced are accurate.
  • Interact with and influence senior university leaders, faculty, and/or the faculty senate with written summaries and/or presentations.
  • May need to collaborate with other organizations to gather data. Proactively seek and locate data, including outside benchmarks or comparative data, to support or refute proposed decisions.
  • Direct staff and provide leadership to achieve goals and vision of the organization. Responsible for hiring and retaining staff, career coaching, professional development, and accountable for the performance of direct reports.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and seven years of relevant experience in administrative and financial management, or combination of education and relevant experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful applicant should have expertise in the evaluation and management of the breadth of acute neurological diseases (e.g. acute neuromuscular disease, seizures & status epilepticus, acute headache disorders, meningoencephalitis, rapidly progressive dementia, CAR T Therapy, emergent neurologic complications of cancer and its treatments, neurologic complications of systemic disease, encephalopathy & delirium, etc) and a demonstrated commitment to teaching students, residents and fellows. **QUALIFICATIONS** :
The successful applicant should have ABPN Board Certification, at least a two-year Movement Disorders Fellowship, or equivalent, currently being completed or previously completed, clinical experience and expertise diagnosing and treating a wide range of movement disorders, be able to perform botulinum toxin injections for movement disorders, perform assessments to determine eligibility for neuromodulation interventions, such as Deep Brain Stimulation and Focused Ultrasound, and perform Deep Brain Stimulation programming.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have clinical trials or clinical research experience, including performing clinical research assessments.

Responsibilities for this position will include joining our current team of 17 neuromuscular neurologists in multidisciplinary and neuromuscular clinics, satellite clinics, electrophysiology laboratories and on the inpatient consult service. New faculty will also participate in medical student, neurology residency and neuromuscular fellowship teaching, and work with the existing neuromuscular clinical research infrastructure to launch clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies and collaborate with colleagues in autonomic neurology, pediatric neurology, neurogenetics, neuroimmunology, cardiology, pulmonology and related fields.
**QUALIFICATIONS** :
The successful applicant should have medical licensure in California with board certification in Neurology and board eligibility in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Electrophysiology/EMG.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have helped direct large multi-disciplinary clinics, especially those who have managed data organization from electronic medical records into database systems. The Department of Bioengineering at Stanford University ( ) and the Arc Institute ( ) invite applications for a faculty position at the ranks of tenured Associate or Full Professor in the University Tenure Line.
This is a coordinated search between Stanford and the Arc Institute. The Arc Institute is a nonprofit research organization founded on the belief that many important scientific programs can be enabled by new organizational models. Arc operates in partnership with Stanford University, UCSF, and UC Berkeley, and fully funds its Core Investigators with renewable, eight-year appointments to provide complete freedom to pursue curiosity-driven research agendas at its new research facilities. For this joint appointment, Bioengineering and Arc are conducting independent search processes and candidates will be evaluated and selected by both committees. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University and the Fertility and Reproductive Health Service (FRHS) seeks a **reproductive endocrinologist physician-investigator** to join the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI). The faculty position is at open rank (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor) in the University Medical Line. Faculty rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Candidates should have an MD or DO and be REI board certified or eligible in OB/GYN and REI. They must have a demonstrated ability to conduct clinical and/or translational research in the area Reproductive Medicine, Assisted Reproduction, or LGBTQ+ Health.
We expect the successful candidate to develop a research program that is highly collaborative within the Department and the larger Stanford Community. In addition to research, the successful candidate will participate in all of the clinical activities of the division, including office visits, ART procedures, and reproductive surgery. Excellent clinical acumen and surgical skills are required. The successful applicant will also participate in teaching programs for medical students, residents, and fellows and serve as a research mentor for OB/GYN residents and REI fellows. The REI division has a fully ACGME-accredited fellowship program.
