This Digital Technology (DT) team is looking for a Principal Engineer / Software Developer that has an inventive mind to design, test, and maintain the next generation of factory statistical analysis software tools. You'll deliver services and develop applications to enable enterprise collaboration through a shared understanding of factory data. The selected individual should be a self-starter with the ability to identify opportunities and solve problems for continuous improvement. You will work collaboratively with a team of DT and Engineering professionals.
This is a hybrid position based in Tucson, AZ or Andover, MA. Onsite presence is required several times a month.
What You Will Do:

Create and maintain data visualization and statistical analysis tools that increase understanding of factory data.

Write scripts to convert non-standard test data (excel, access, text, etc.) into a standardized text-based format.

Work with customers to ensure their data is used to reduce process variation and improve factory test yields.

Become knowledgeable with factory test data, supporting Raytheon Missiles and Defense program needs as required in a fast-paced, multi-task work environment.

Using agile software development methods, provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of difficult technical problems.

Travel to factories in Tucson, AZ and/or Andover, MA
Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically, a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Perl, C, C++, C#, Java etc)

The newly-created Data Science Platform (DSP) supports and advances the research objectives of Rockefeller Universitys faculty and staff by providing training and consultative support in the field of data science especially in the areas of machine learning and artificial intelligence (ML/AI) and deep learning (DL).
Overview
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, and working primarily with Faculty, Research Staff, Postdoctoral Fellows, and Graduate Students, the Director leads a team of seven (7) Machine Learning Engineers that identify and work closely with internal and external resources to determine how to most effectively support University researchers' needs for applying ML/AI and/or other quantitative approaches to new and existing data sets across a wide variety of disciplines, including structural biology, imaging, microscopy, "omics," neuroscience, immunology/virology, and the physical sciences. The position also includes leadership of the Fisher Center AI Platform, which seeks to apply AI/ML techniques to understand the causes of Alzheimer's disease, improve the care of people living with it, and find a cure.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
+ Consult on experimental design and best usage, with emphasis on best practices for proper analysis and reproducibility;
+ Recruit and manage Data Science Platform staff members;
+ Develop and lead training/classes in ML/AI fundamentals and techniques; adapt and evolve training to best serve the changing needs of the research community;
+ Identify, improve, and/or create appropriate training data sets for ML/AI projects;
+ Advise researchers and collaborators on method selection and implementation, as well as on how to direct research projects to ensure alignment with emerging advancements in deep learning;
+ Maintain awareness of advances in the field and their applicability to problems of interest to members of Rockefeller's research community;
+ Identify and apply for appropriate grant funding opportunities;
+ Additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Ph.D. or equivalent degree in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer science, electrical engineering, statistics or a related field.
+ A minimum of ten (10) years of research experience in identifying, formulating and solving biological problems through the application of advanced artificial intelligence technologies.
+ At least two (2) years of leadership experience.
+ A strong publication record in top-tier venues focused on machine learning, artificial intelligence or their domain-specific applications, such as AAAI, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, IJCAI, KDD, ICCV, ECCV, CVPR, EMNLP, ACL, MICCAI, IJCV, TPAMI, TIP, ACM-MM, Nature, Nature Methods, Science and equivalent conferences and journals.
+ Broad knowledge on recent advances in artificial intelligence, such as foundation models (including large-language models, vision-language models, genomic foundation models, etc.), generative models, self-supervised learning, large-scale distributed training, efficient deep learning, with research expertise in at least one relevant field.
+ Basic knowledge of the deep learning tool stack, such as PyTorch, Python, CUDA, Linux, and computing cluster management.
+ Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will support the Government with the integration, at the theater strategic level, of C4, cyber, and cyberspace operations into JNWC's strategic and operational objectives.
Responsibilities
- You will utilize classified and unclassified analytical tools and expert analysis to support regional and global threat assessments to facilitate understanding of the threat picture.
- Oversee and support delivering multi‐layered, multi-intelligence research products focused on existing, evolving, and emerging improvised threats.
- Provide detailed threat analysis and assessments against various national and global threats to identify risks, gaps, and vulnerabilities and recommend countermeasures.
- Utilize tools and tradecraft to provide timely, relevant, and understandable analysis and intelligence material to inform decision‐makers and influence outcomes.
- Assist supported unit intelligence personnel in carrying out assigned tasks.
- Work closely with other Analysts, Planners, and Integrators in developing a range of operations and intelligence products and material and training solutions.
- Provide consistent real‐time updates of current analyses and assessments to existing Intel databases.
- Ensures coordination with higher headquarters, Intelligence Community, Allies, and Partner Nations.
- The position may require CONUS/OCONUS travel and shiftwork supporting operations, exercises, and conferences
- Due to the nature of the position, if selected, you will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Qualifications
- You must be a US citizen
- You must be able to obtain an i nterim Secret clearance to start with a pathway to achieving TS+SCI.
- 5 Years of relevant experience
- Experience conducting multi‐discipline intelligence analysis
- Experience conducting Analysis in a deployed PNT environment
- Experience providing Analytical support to operations
- BA/BS in business, math, statistics, data science, computer science, engineering, or other related field
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have
- MA/MS in a related field
- Graduate of a military Intermediate Level Education (ILE) course (e.g. Army Command and General Staff College or another service equivalent)
- Graduate of a Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) course (e.g. Naval Command and Staff or another service equivalent)
- Graduate of the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) or a Joint War College
Salary Max : 103K
