Seeking an experienced RN to join the Step Down Unit at Rochester General Hospital's Sands Surgical Division. This role involves caring for patients requiring intermediate-level care following medical-surgical and vascular surgeries.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing care for patients post-trauma, neuro, ENT, general, urology, plastic, and bariatric surgeries
  • Monitoring arterial lines and managing post-operative recovery in a stepdown setting
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for patient treatment and recovery
  • Floating to other units as needed
  • Participating in every other holiday rotation

Requirements:
  • Active RN license (must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility)
  • AHA BLS Certification (required)
  • AHA NIHSS Certification (required)
  • Minimum 1-2 years of stepdown or surgical unit experience preferred

Additional Info:
  • 8 hours of non-billable orientation
  • Up to 3 shifts may be called off during the contract
