Responsibilities

The Warehouse Associate - Stock is responsible for stocking items on the shelves and ensuring the neat, orderly condition of the warehouse. We only want dynamic, career-minded people who are willing to dedicate themselves to this job.

  • Receive merchandise from vendors and other stores and put them in the proper location on the shelves
  • Check off merchandise as received
  • Correct mistakes found on the inventory count sheet
  • Assist in pulling parts during busy times
  • Clean up inside/outside the warehouse
  • Work with stock manager to address any problems with orders
  • Resolve problems with how the warehouse is stocked
  • Miscellaneous projects and perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

**Overview**
STOCK CLERK ):
Bowhead is seeking a Stock Clerk to join our team in support of the Warehouse Storage and Support Services contract located in Jacksonville, FL at the Naval Air Station. The Stock Clerk will receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compile stock records of items in the stockroom or warehouse.
**Responsibilities**
Essential functions will include:
- Sort, count, and identify incoming articles to verify recipt of items onrequisitionsor invoices.
- Examining stock to verify conformance to specifications, storing articles in bins on floors or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size or type of material.

**Qualifications**
- A High School Diploma or GED is required at a minimum in addition to at least two (2) years of stocking experience.

**Overview**
STOCK CLERK (USATC- ):
Bowhead is seeking a **part-time** Stock Clerk to join our team in Fort Jackson, SC. The Stock Clerk will perform a variety of tasks in assisting in the Central Issue Facility of the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC). The Stock Clerks receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compile stock records of items in the stockroom or warehouse.
**Responsibilities**
Essential functions will include:
+ Ability to sort and/or weigh incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices
+ Examining stock to verify conformance to specifications, storing articles in bins on floors or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size or type of material
+ Must possess the capability to fill orders or issues supplies from stock
+ Preparing periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock, and requisitions articles to fill incoming orders
+ Operating a vehicle is a core requirement
+ Compiling reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes and refusal of shipments
+ Ability to make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock, and may cut stock to fill order
**Qualifications**
+ A High School Diploma or GED is required at a minimum
+ At least two (2) years of stocking experience preferred
+ Experience with the military Logistics Information Systems (LIS) preferred
+ Basic to intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
+ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
+ Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
+ Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
+ Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust Level (NACI). Due to the location of this work, US Citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Accomplishing incoming and outgoing freight transactions, accurately completing Kalitta Air receiving documents in accordance with established procedures.
  • Verifying quantities, part numbers, descriptions, serial numbers, and conditions of inbound and outbound shipments. Completing Kalitta Air shipping/receiving documents by following procedures, I/A/W the Kalitta Air GMM.
  • Selecting an appropriate carrier based on delivery requirements to ensure on-time, economical delivery, and being knowledgeable of common carrier terminologies to ensure accuracy of freight documents.
  • Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Separating delivery and pick up shipments for various warehouses, Quality Control, and other departments. Preparing and packaging material for shipment in accordance with Company procedures, 49 CFR, and IATA Dangerous Goods.
  • Ensuring that inventory balances remain accurate by proper completion of Kalitta Air documents.
  • Knowledge of current computer systems, making accurate data entries in accordance with established procedures.
  • Knowledge of common warehouse practices and warehouse tool operations, for example: forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Materials Manager or Stockroom Supervisor related to the stockroom and company needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a high school diploma. It also requires one to hold a valid drivers’ license. HAZMAT training preferred, but not required. Forklift truck experience is preferred. Aviation experience preferred, but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Also, must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.
