Minimum Qualifications

• Strong systems programming skills and a deep understanding of operating system fundamentals (memory management, concurrency, I/O, networking).
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, plus 2+ years in system software development.
• Proven grasp of concurrency, parallelism, and distributed systems concepts (e.g., consensus, consistency models, failure modes).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions clearly within the team and to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with distributed storage solutions (e.g., Ceph, ScaleIO, GlusterFS, HDFS) is highly desirable.
• Experience developing and managing applications on Kubernetes; experience writing CSI plugins is a plus.
• Familiarity with using or contributing to cloud infrastructure technologies (e.g., AWS S3/EBS, GCP Cloud Storage/Persistent Disk, OpenStack Swift/Cinder).
• Proficiency in Go (Golang) applied to systems-level development.
• Experience building software solutions in other relevant languages such as Java, C/C++, Python, or Swift.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. **The Team**
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join American Tower's Enterprise IT Infrastructure Services organization. The Systems Engineer supports infrastructure components including virtual platforms (primarily cloud based with some soon to be decomissioned on premise), as well as associated technologies for storage, backup, replication, monitoring, and alerting. The Systems Engineer interfaces across several channels, leading discussions regarding infrastructure issues and projects, and liaises with stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate those into infrastructure services deliverables. The Systems Engineer must keep current with relevant technologies and provides guidance to management on best practices which can be incorporated into daily operations processes.
**What You Need to Succeed**
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, a related discipline, or the equivalent work experience.
+ At least 3 years of IT enterprise infrastructure deployment experience, focused primarily on storage, backup, disaster recovery/business continuity, enterprise networking, and modern operating systems preferred.
+ At least 5 years of professional IT experience, at least 3 of which was spent working as an Infrastructure Engineer.
+ Strong background in cloud infrastructure platforms such as Azure and AWS.
+ Experience and/or familiarity with:
+ IT Infrastructure with a focus on cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
+ Services such as Azure Blob Storage, Azure NetApp storage
+ Oracle storage technology such as Oracle Private Cloud Appliance ZFS.
+ Replication and disaster recovery solutions

+ Experience with vendor relations, including collocation and managed services, preferred.
