Responsibilities

• Security & Compliance : Administer and monitor systems to ensure they meet security compliance requirements and internal policies. This includes managing user access, system configurations, and patch management across all infrastructure, with an understanding of the scale and complexity inherent in a large corporate setting.
• System Administration : Perform daily system administration tasks for Mac, Windows, and Linux endpoints and servers. This involves provisioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a large-scale, multi-user environment.

The VCU Health Radiology is seeking a PACS Administrator to join our Imaging Informatics team. This candidate will provide systemic support of the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) image management system within Radiology and maintain and support PACS workstations and servers - hardware, OS, networking, and applications. A strong candidate would have a thorough understanding of system architectures, both software and hardware components, working knowledge of operating system structures, file systems, device definitions, daemons and kernel processes with the ability to utilize and manage system logging and error reports, and a strong grasp of the interaction of system and application programs with knowledge of relational databases, Unix, and Linux preferred.
