Key skills:

Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience supporting large scale, highly available, production Cloud Storage deployments with Ceph
• Strong familiarity with any combination of the following: OpenStack/Kubernetes/Rook with Ceph as an underlying storage solution
• Experience in programming, scripting and development
o Python or Shell Scripting
• Experience with Linux Administration and System Troubleshooting
• Networking concepts and administration
o TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, Load balancing
• Experience using source control systems (git)
• Experience in configuration management tools like Ansible/Puppet/Chef

Job Description:
As a Senior Presales Architect, you are responsible for architecting solutions that will achieve customer business outcomes either within a specific technical domain, or across the broader company portfolio (hardware, software, services, and as a service offerings) in combination with all necessary third-party components (e.g. software and integration). Develops and articulates compelling, accurate, and relevant proposals and ensures customer's business and technical requirements are met. This role can be aligned to a specific area of technical expertise (e.g., products, solutions, services). Provides technical expertise to sales teams and customers (through sales presentations, product/solution demonstrations, etc.) aimed at gaining customer mindshare within their domain. - Working knowledge of hands-on with one of major public clouds (Amazon, Azure, Google) – certifications preferred
- Expert in selling complete data lifecycle management portfolio – block, file, backup, ransomware protection & others
- Deep competitive knowledge of at least 1 major storage vendor

The Senior Presales Architect - Storage Solutions is responsible for providing deep technical expertise for hardware, software, or services in the creation and delivery of proposals designed to meet customers' business needs. Creates and maintains effective customer relationships to secure customer satisfaction. Breadth of awareness includes all company portfolio offerings (hardware, software, services, and everything as a service) in deal pursuit situations. Develops and maintains knowledge of adjacent, leading-edge, and emerging technologies in the industry and market segments; and guides customers on how to migrate and/or integrate technologies in new or existing environments. This role will be primarily responsible for our Commercial and SLED customer base for the Michigan territory.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in deep-dive discussions and gathers information about customer technical needs and assesses customer's current IT infrastructure and translates the technical view into the implementation view to architect an overall technical solution. Additionally, defines technical alternatives and possible shortcomings to the proposed solution.
- Collaborates with account teams and other company organizations in developing and communicating key value propositions and negotiation points for a specific product set and technology.

- Lead proof of concept initiatives to showcase the value and viability of CoreWeave's solutions within specific environments.
- Take charge of technical leadership during customer meetings, presentations, and workshops, addressing any technical queries or concerns that arise.
- Act as a virtual member of CoreWeave's storage engineering team by identifying opportunities for product enhancement and collaborating with engineers to implement your suggestions.
- Offer valuable insights on product features, functionality, and performance, contributing regularly to discussions about product strategy and architecture.
- Conduct periodic technical reviews and assessments of customer workloads, pinpointing opportunities for workload optimization and suggesting suitable solutions.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments and trends in storage technologies, educating the rest of the team, and providing valuable feedback to product and GTM teams.
- Lead the prototyping and initiation of research and development efforts for emerging products and solutions, delivering prototypes and key insights for internal consumption.
- Represent CoreWeave at conferences and industry events, with occasional travel as required.

- You've got some of this under your belt. You have proven experience as a solutions architect or a technical account manager in cloud infrastructure or related industry.
- You're an expert in storage. You have strong technical expertise in cloud computing concepts, architecture, and technologies, and some hands-on experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions.
- You can clearly describe storage concepts, best practices and have an understanding of the storage provider landscape.

The base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $220,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets.
