Job Description

At Branch, we're transforming how brands and users interact across digital platforms. Our mobile marketing and deep linking solutions are trusted to deliver seamless experiences that increase ROI, decrease wasted spend, and eliminate siloed attribution. Our Branch team consists of smart, humble, and collaborative people who value ownership over all. Everything we do is centered around creating a great product, team, and company that lives and breathes our motto: Build Together, Grow Together, Win Together.

Branch is seeking a Manager of Business Strategy to support both our customers and our Go-To-Market team as we continue to grow. In this role, you'll uncover and shape the data behind customer strategies, craft compelling narratives, and act as a trusted in-house consultant for pre- and post-sales teams. You'll also serve as a thought leader and advocate for Branch's position in Mobile Growth, regularly presenting to senior stakeholders at some of the world's most recognized brands (e.g., Spotify, NBC, Starbucks, Depop, Venmo, Marriott, etc.).

As a Manager of Business Strategy, you'll identify opportunities, quantify them with models, and guide leadership on where you think we should head next. By analyzing customer and market data, you'll shape marketing, sales and business development efforts. Beyond providing insights, you'll influence high-impact decisions by backing your perspective with solid analysis. You solve previously unsolved problems, making reasonable assumptions, and defending your logic with intellectual integrity.

You will thrive in this role if you have experience in data-driven environments (e.g., consulting or finance) and know the difference between uncovering the real story in the data versus forcing the data to fit a narrative. Whether it's building visualizations that summarize and answer the "so what?" or creating decks that persuade and inform, turning complex analysis into clear, actionable insights should come naturally to you.

As a Manager of Business Strategy, you'll get to:

  • Analyze proprietary customer and external market data to uncover insights, build quantitative models, and project the business impact that Branch provides.
  • Provide tailored mobile growth consulting and best-practice recommendations to brand partners, guiding their app and mobile strategy.
  • Advise teammates on strategic use cases and support prospective customer opportunities.
  • Identify, propose and build internal strategic initiatives, leveraging data to accelerate Branch's growth.
  • Write blog posts, present collateral, and host webinars as a thought leader for Mobile Growth and broader MarTech topics.
  • Be part of a high performing, and highly collaborative team that gets exposure to leaders within Branch, and among the elite brands that make up our customer base.

You'll Be a Good Fit If You Have

  • At least 3+ years of experience in analytical roles, preferably in consulting or finance.
  • At least a year in a strategically consultative or influential role, creating and delivering informative and persuasive presentations to senior stakeholders (could be in-house).
  • Experience researching new problems, formulating hypotheses, performing data driven analysis, and packaging conclusions.
  • Conceptual and tactical understanding of quantitative modeling and forecasting.
  • A creative mindset with the initiative to identify gaps or opportunities, bring fresh perspectives, and proactively develop plans to drive impact.
  • Ability to develop compelling data visualizations and presentations that tell a clear, persuasive story by shaping overarching narratives and designing impactful individual slides.
  • Comfort presenting quantitative and strategic content to an audience.
  • Willingness to understand mobile linking technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree from a competitive university, preferably with studies in STEM subjects, economics, finance or business.
  • Experience in management consulting/investment banking
  • Experience with tech/SaaS landscapes, especially in mobile strategy
  • Experience with quantitative large dataset querying.
  • Skilled with data visualization tools, understanding how to make compelling points graphically.
  • Alternative: experience at a growth stage Internet/Software company.
  • Alternative: vertical-specific B2C industry experience, either via consulting or covering as an analyst (could be retail, telecomm, media, finance, etc.).
