Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Produce timely and accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Guide the company's financial planning by developing budgets and financial forecasts
- Evaluate and maintain various incentive compensation plans throughout the organization.
- Review contract profitability and make recommendations to improve profitability.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Develop and maintain reporting structures to support industry specific financial reporting standards.
- Manage accounting staff and oversee functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting and contracts.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervise 4 - 6 employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or two to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Leadership competencies to include informing, listening, planning, self-accountability, and confidentiality.
- People development skills including employee recognition and the ability to manage recruiting and staffing needs.
- The ability to embrace the Knight Office Solutions culture, mission, and goals.

A Day In The Life
This is an incredibly exciting time in the automotive industry with immense technological impact and business model innovation. GST is seeking an analytical, curious and results-oriented Business Strategy Lead to participate in the identification and development of key strategic and transformation initiatives across a broad range of business functions. This individual will be an integral part of the Strategic Planning Team and will assist in the execution of strategic planning. Overall the Business Strategy Lead will assist in creating and driving the strategic agenda, including partnering with and influencing senior leaders on growth, productivity, and innovation projects. The ideal candidates for this role should be comfortable with ambiguity and change, possess exceptional research and analytical skills, and be an excellent written and verbal communicator. This role has high visibility to the GST leadership team and across The Friedkin Group.
As a Business Strategy Lead you will:
- Assist in the strategic planning process for the company and alignment of top leadership on business strategy, performance objectives and key initiatives
- Research and analyze relevant data to understand the automotive market and competitive landscape to generate insights which drive strategy and business actions
- Review financial, operational and sales performance reports, industry data, and research on a periodic basis; prepare reports, trend analysis and exec summaries (PowerPoint)
- Assist in the development of comprehensive business cases to address opportunities and challenges; collaborate with and influence senior leaders and key stakeholders to mobilize and execute
- Support execution of strategic initiatives which includes analyzing problems and identifying opportunities for creative and innovative solutions
- Assist in planning and facilitation of strategy and initiative discussions with top leadership
- Build strong relationships with internal partners to drive the strategic planning agenda
- Act as a point of contact between senior leadership, associates, and key strategic partners while balancing competing priorities
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, engineering, mathematics, statistics or related field Req
- 2 - 5 years in corporate strategy, strategic planning, management consulting, venture capital, private equity or equivalent combination of education and/or experience Required
- Automotive industry or retail/consumer experience advantageous Preferred
- Previous experience building financial models and strong financial acumen Preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate finding clearly. Required
- Experience delivering and executing in complex and changing business landscapes Preferred
