The Exercise Coach is seeking a full-time Lead, Strength Training Coach which in the Prior Lake/Savage area. You will deliver one-on-one and small group (2-5 participants) strength training to a variety of ages and abilities. Along with coaching, the Lead will manage scheduling system work, drive in-studio client facing messaging, support ideation around marketing, client retention and promotions. This role also requires the onboarding of new clients and initial consultation goal setting. The ideal candidate is people-oriented, energetic. self-starter, driven, passionate about encouraging good health, willing to learn and motivated to grow with the business. General business experience a plus around operations, marketing, sales. This established franchise has just been open three year's in the south metro. We are growing, come grow with us.

No prior training/coaching experience is required. Our Exercise Coach certification and hands on learning will provide you with everything we are looking for. A passion for helping people, customer service experience, a desire to make people's lives better is a top requirement. Knowledge of nutrition, physiology, fitness instruction is certainly welcome and a plus that will make training easier.

These are professional faculty positions. The Faculty Staff Fitness ( FSF ) program is offered through the College of Health at Oregon State University. The FSF program scheduled its first series of activity classes in the spring of 1984, initially offering 10 classes and enrolling 100 participants. Key Responsibilities
100% Instruction:Teach Strength Training and/or Rhythmic Formats courses in the OSU Faculty Staff Fitness program. Instruction includes design, delivery, and assessing individual participants' ability to perform movement correctly
What You Will Need
+ Bachelor's degree and one of the following:
+ One (1) year of teaching experience in strength training and/or rhythmic formats, for a minimum of 2 1-hour classes per week (approximately 104 hours annually), or an equivalent amount of instruction experience; OR
+ Nationally recognized professional certification in strength training and/or rhythmic formats and 6 months of teaching experience for a minimum of 2 1-hour classes per week (approximately 52 hours annually), or an equivalent amount of instruction experience; OR
+ Associate's degree in Exercise Sports Science or relevant field and three (3) years teaching experience in field of strength training and/or rhythmic formats.; OR
+ High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years teaching experience AND Certification in field of strength training, group fitness and/or rhythmic formats.
+ CPR / AED and First Aid certifications by the start of classes.
+ Demonstrated ability to design, teach and assess courses that support inclusive learning principles and promote equitable teaching practices, to the benefit of all learners.
What We Would Like You to Have
+ Masters in Kinesiology or relevant discipline.
+ NCCA certification in field of group exercise, strength training, personal training, or rhythmic formats. Preferred certifying organizations: ACSM , NSCA , ACE , NASM .
+ Enrolled in/completed Kinesiology/Public Health program and completed a practicum/internship within the Faculty Staff Fitness organization in field applicable to position.
+ 5+ years teaching experience.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
This position is hourly. This position requires the ability to demonstrate the physical fitness activity to participants for the duration of the class. This position may require lifting up to 40 pounds, bending, twisting, and physical demands associated with fitness activity classes. Classes are offered in short blocks of time throughout the day and week, including early mornings, lunch times, and evenings. For example an Instructor may teach the same class for one hour on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Job Summary
If you are an experienced professional who enjoys working with the older adult population, has a vibrant and outgoing personality, and a background in personal training, group fitness, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or other related experience, we would love to talk with you about opportunities to join a developing team of like-minded professionals and grow with our company.

Our trainers are provided with ongoing support and training and are able to build flexible schedules around other commitments.

Team Building & Training - Assisting with building a cohesive team of trainers, including sourcing and training new team members, subbing, team teaching, and helping with ongoing team support. This is the part of the position that may require some limited travel to help support team members.

The support trainer is responsible for upholding company standards and providing an unmatched workout for our members, while fostering a community and helping members achieve their goals. The support trainer will be responsible for delivering dynamic and challenging workouts for members of all fitness levels.   • Training 5-10 camps per week Delivering engaging pre-designed custom workouts to our members. Lead and motivate members through our 45-minute intensive camps.
  • Offering personal training in a group setting Ability to engage multiple members in workouts while offering a personal experience at the same time.
  • Correcting form Ensure the safety of our members participating in our camps, regardless of exercise background, offering form correction and modifications for specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels and or injury due to medical background of member.
  • Perform focus meetings Facilitate our members success! Help with tracking, member attendance and personal accountability.
  • Providing excellent customer service We value our members, and we show them by providing genuine interaction, empathetic engagement, and consistent devotion to their goals, In and out of the gym.
  • Teamwork through communication Work with our team and communicate together to maximize the complete member experience
  • Facility management Setting up and breaking down the setups before and or after the workout. Help to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the gym to ensure that the gym maintains a clean and orderly appearance.
  • Social media engagement Be highly engaging with our community of members on all of our social media platforms.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid and acceptable Certified Personal Trainers certificate (CPT) or a degree in an exercise science field
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Minimum 2 years personal training experience and or group fitness training.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized while effectively communicating in a positive and motivating manner
  • Have a high level of understanding and presence on social media
  • Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels and knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
  • Embody a hustle and grind mentality to achieve company goals and be open to grow personally and professionally
  • Reliable and available to work early mornings, evenings, holidays, and some Saturdays.
