**Job Summary:**
To conduct layout of aircraft stripes according to shop sketch using patterns and measurement tools, and
perform duties as required to facilitate pre- and post-spray paint operations. May be required to work
under the guidance of higher-grade operators.
**Job Responsibilities:**
* Uses patterns, shop aids, and measuring equipment to layout stripes and exterior markings. Applies
layout tape maintaining smooth, consistent lines and uniformity between both sides of the aircraft.
Uses professional judgement to make small alterations that improve the appearance of the stripe.
Masks off the aircraft taking care to maintain alignment of stripes and markings according to standard
practices. Performs work according to design team sketches, preapproved patterns, blueprints and
other oral and written instructions.
* Lays out and creates patterns for new custom stripe designs which requires transferring 20th scale
drawings onto the aircraft. Works with design team for approval of new patterns.
* Uses computer to input and print out information for aircraft registration, flags, logos, etc., then cuts
these items to be applied on aircraft for painting.
* Lays out, prepares surface, and applies sealer to windows, wing lockers, fuselage seams, leading
edge boots, and other areas requiring sealer.
* Responsible only for own work.
* Performs other related duties as required.
**Qualifications**
**Education:**
Requires a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification. Ability
to interpret simple drawings, apply basic math and use some measuring instruments.
**Experience:**
Minimum 3 months Stripe Masking experience required.

Basic Qualifications

PurposeDesign, develop, test, document and maintain production and R&D sonar and security system software in the Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) of Applied Research Laboratories (ARL).
Responsibilities-
Design and develop sonar software applications and scripts in a Linuxenvironment using C/C++, Python, and Bash.
Create supporting documentation for software and systems.
Maintain and test new and legacy code.
Participate in data collection exercises, data management, and analysis.
Support the installation and testing of equipment in field locations.
