**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Evaluate strength of structural non-conformances and repairs
+ Apply knowledge of structural analysis principles to assess and resolve product/process issues discovered throughout the product lifecycle
+ Analyze MRB dispositions for structural integrity and identify, document and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety
+ Provide alternate repair recommendations as necessary to Liaison Engineering to meet structural requirements
+ Coordinate with regulatory agencies and representatives to support certification of airplane structural components
+ Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
+ Positive & proactive mindset, highly motivated team member willing to manage multiple assignments and work with a sense of urgency
+ Utilize LEAN best practices
+ Proactive collaboration with customer, build positive relationships. (i.e. Liaison Engineering and Operations teams)
+ Effective communication with other lead engineers, team members, and management.
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ Bachelors, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
+ 9+ years of experience working with aircraft stress analysis and/or structural analysis, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
+ 5+ years of structures experience with Boeing Aircraft FA-18 and P-8.
+ Experience in Model Based Definition, CATIA, ENOVIA and PDM.
+ Experience with Boeing tools such as IAS, CSW, and Structures Workstation (SWS).
+ Experience with composite structures and stress analysis.
+ Ability to lead and work independently in a team environment.
+ Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to make decisions and deliver results.

You will work closely with key stakeholders and systems engineers to identify, collect, and document requirements, interfaces, design basis, and criteria. Your work will ensure structures and components meet technical specifications and design requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Plan and perform the analysis required to assess aspects of structures and components, ensuring they meet intended functions and technical specifications.
+ Perform computations using hand calculations and analytical tools for structural, thermal, hydraulic, and other scoping calculations.
+ Conduct structural analysis for systems, structures, and components, including pressure vessels, piping, nuclear reactor internals, nuclear fuel, and high temperature materials such as graphite.
+ Use finite element analysis (FEA) simulation software, hand calculations, and engineering judgment to assess stress, deformation, degradation behavior, and lifetime mechanical performance of nuclear reactor components.
+ Support the assessment of systems and structures for manufacturability, assembly, and integration.
+ Develop design documentation, including design basis documents, technical reports, calculations, and drawings in accordance with procedures.
+ Create Verification and Validation (V&V) plans for analytical tools and support the qualification of toolsets.
+ Perform work in accordance with quality procedures for design and configuration management.
+ Provide independent reviews and acceptance reviews of engineering deliverables and data.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with FEA analysis using tools like Ansys, LS-DYNA or related analysis tools.
+ Ability to build own models.
+ Proficiency with engineering hand calculations for stress analysis.
+ Experience with metals (mostly steels) or ceramics, metallurgy, structural steel, alloys, nuclear reactor components.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
+ Proficiency with structural analysis hand calculations and structural FEA software programs (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS, NASTRAN, FEMAP, CAESAR, ROHR, LS-DYNA, PIPESTRESS).
+ Experience with metals (primarily steels) and/or ceramics (graphite, etc.) is highly desired.
+ A Ph.D. in engineering or related field may substitute for three years of experience.

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a **Structural Analysis Engineer** to join our team, partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry. **What You'll Do**
+ Develop, integrate, and document structural requirements to establish system design.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define product environments and ensure design compatibility.
+ Guide product design using analytical methods, finite element models, simulations, and other analysis tools.
+ Create test plans, support test execution, and analyze/report results to verify compliance with requirements.
+ Define and document certification and test results to substantiate compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
+ Support in-service products by investigating failures and recommending design improvements.
**What You Bring**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree (engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry) from an accredited program.
+ Typically 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent advanced education and experience (e.g., PhD or Master's + 3 years).
+ Proficiency in structural analysis methods, finite element analysis (FEA), and simulation tools. **This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
