Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person, remote, and on-call technical support for a wide range of specialized audio equipment, music technology software, and audiovisual systems.
- Assist faculty and students during classes, recording sessions, events, and ensemble performances, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal studio operation.
- Monitor and test systems proactively; troubleshoot and escalate technical issues to appropriate teams.
- Collaborate on technology upgrades and new installations, including semesterly project work to improve facilities.
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of 50 student Studio Assistants, ensuring adherence to policies and quality service delivery.
- Manage equipment check-outs, maintain accurate usage records, and audit security logs to protect valuable resources.
- Coordinate scheduling with the Booking Office and facilitate orientation sessions to onboard new users.
Who We're Looking For:
Candidates should have a B.M. in Music Production and Engineering or a related music technology field, plus 1-2 years of experience in a commercial recording facility. Experience in higher education or online education settings is a plus. Proficiency with DAWs like Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and Ableton Live, alongside knowledge of analog and digital consoles (Neve, SSL, API), is essential. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are key to success.

Job functions include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with the media team to support planning and research effortsidentifying insights (e.g., keywords, media behaviors), maintaining execution timelines, managing calendars, and ensuring alignment on deliverables and check-ins.
- Support trafficking across all media channelsincluding Direct, Endemic, Programmatic, Paid Social, and Paid Search by leading execution for priority buys, maintaining traffic sheets, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate campaign setup.
- Assist in maintaining and evolving media operations process documentation, while supporting team adoption of new workflows, tools, and digital platforms.

- Manage media operations tasks, including vendor setup, PO routing, invoice processing, and campaign/project status documents.
Minimum qualifications include:
- 2+ years of experience in digital marketing or media operations role

- Experience with digital media buying platforms (i.e. Google Ads, DV360, CM360, Meta)
- Ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external partners

Job Description
Work with a highly motivated team of individuals who are responsible for the fulfillment of media content to NBCUniversal's distribution outlets, including its cable networks, owned television stations and online destinations. A QC Technician must perform quality control of content for NBCU Studio distribution using several technical processes & technologies including, but not limited to, Audio/Video QC, subtitle QC, audio language recognition, order prioritization, cross team communication and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
+ Perform quality control of all digital media for Studio Fulfillment distribution.
+ QC all content for distribution - Ensure technical specifications for all encoded and transcoded files including foreign languages with the expectation of making zero errors or defects.
+ QC and segmentation off all content being stored into NBCU's serving library.
+ Learn and perform all media prep processes in the Media Operations Center & any additional processes that are created in the future.
+ Provide delivery support of digital media to internal departments, studio needs and external partnerships
+ Troubleshoot basic problems and issues in the media prep workflow following escalation procedure and maintaining client communication.
+ Occasionally provide documentation regarding workflow Standard Operating Procedures.
+ Additional duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor(s).
Basic Qualifications:
+ A High School Diploma and relevant certification or Associate's Degree in Media or Communications, or equivalent professional experience in broadcast, digital, or post production role.
+ A solid understanding of television production, broadcast operations, and/or news/sports/entertainment technical production requirements.
Desired Characteristics
+ 1+ years of experience in a production, post production, broadcast, or communications environment
+ 2+ years' of experience in a job or school related activity using computers and software applications including MS outlook, MS Word, & MS Excel.
+ Knowledge of various media formats/VTRs (Digibeta, HDcam, XDcam), file types (QT, WMV, MXF, DNX, DV, etc) and video standards (NTSC, PAL)

Versant, in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, is home to a Media Operations Center team that is a group of innovative and highly skilled technicians that oversee the inbound and outbound digital delivery for the Versant Networks.
The Media Operations Center team is responsible for ensuring content is sourced, prepared, and fulfilled to outlets such as cable networks, online destinations, and more. In this role you will be part of a 24x7 driven and highly motivated team that supports the fulfillment of media content to Versant's distribution outlets.
As a Media Operations Technician, you will be responsible for a hybrid skillset that encompasses all aspects of the digital supply chain: source content QC, encode, edit, and delivery to clients.
This role requires focus, attention to detail, communication skills and determination to execute and distribute assets properly and in a timely manner while maintaining the department goal of 99.999% reliability and availability.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain on-air continuity by completing all content needed for broadcast inclusive of long-form, short-from, promos, commercials, and graphics according to Versant's automated material management system knows as the "Make-list".
+ Learn and perform all technical processes and technologies in the Media Operations Center as well as additional processes and technologies created in the future.
+ Learn and perform all Media Asset Coordinator roles and responsibilities.
+ Support Versant's Program Operations, On-Air Marketing and Programming departments with all their ingest, transcode and QC needs.
+ Perform metadata verification and creation on inbound Versant content to prepare it for distribution to broadcast networks.
+ Learn and verify technical specifications of inbound and outbound content to confirm inbound content is meeting the specifications of Versant as well as outbound content meeting the specifications of our clients.
Able to perform real time, long-form, high resolution, quality control screening of Versant content to identify legal, technical, and even creative issues that will be communicated back to providers and ensure all technical aspects are compiled to meet FCC/Versant specifications.

Responsibilities:
The Media Operations, Operations & Technology group is responsible for prepping content needed for domestic and international distribution as well as broadcast operations. This includes transcode, edit and delivery services to meet client fulfilment around the globe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Aside from supporting the day-to-day distribution of linear and non-linear content, this position becomes integral to the success of high-profile network stunts and events, which have included the Olympics, FIFA World Cup, and the Superbowl in the past.
The Media Operations Manager position is responsible for scoping, building, launching and supporting workflows that manage content ingest, transcode, and fulfillment across the digital supply chain. This role also handles partner onboarding as well as providing operational and technical support for the Media Operations, Operations & Technology team. Media Operations ingests, preps, QCs and delivers content domestically and relies on Media Operations Manager's to solve or escalate issues electronically, on the phone and in-person. Other responsibilities include providing operations and customer support for the portfolio of applications and products used for file-based digital workflows including video editing, transcoding, digital file delivery, and live streaming.
This is a role that combines broadcast engineering, information technology, and digital media. An ideal candidate will have a background in Film/TV, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Digital New Media. Basic Requirements:
