Job Description

Amentum is hiring a **Submarine Logistics Specialist** to join our team and support our NIWC CWITT customer in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. As a Submarine Logistics Specialist you will perform all aspects of Submarine Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) of submarine new construction processes, to include, but not limited to the essential responsibilities listed below.
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Perform material management functions including scheduled inventories, shipping and receiving, transfer coordination, data entry, record keeping and property control using manual and digital systems.
+ Perform quality assurance duties including inspections and process reviews to ensure accuracy, policy adherence and to identify any potential process improvements.
+ Perform warehouse management duties including storing, stacking and palletizing heavy, sensitive and controlled government electronic equipment within mandated safety regulations.
+ Create, complete and verify various types of records and documents, noting and reporting any discrepancies and/or damage to material.
+ Create and maintain tactical configurations of installed government electronic equipment using a proprietary computer system.
+ Interface and coordinate with various groups, entities and organizations for the replenishment, replacement and return of government electronic equipment.
+ Provide logistic deck plate support to technicians, shipyard and navy personnel to support removal and installation of equipment during the submarine new construction process.
+ Replenish and maintain consumable supplies and equipment for ILS personnel across various locations as needed.
+ Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
+ Ability to promote accuracy, efficiency and safety by adhering to various company and government policies and directives.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ **Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret US Government Clearance.**
+ High School Diploma/GED.
+ Five (5) years of **Navy Integrated Logistics Support** experience, to include: basic experience/exposure to naval logistics support systems and structures involving various databases for ordering and reporting supply information.
+ Possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a government driving permit (as needed).
+ Ability to travel as needed, up to 30% of the time.
+ Ability to lift material up to 50lbs.
+ Ability to drive up to a 26ft box truck.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Previous Navy/Submarine/shipyard supply technician experience.

Responsibilities:

Expectations- Accomplish day-to-day tactical objectives in support of company and department goals. Demonstrates adherence to company policies and procedures in support of safety, quality, delivery, cost and morale (SQDCM) initiatives. Takes initiative to participate in training and developing opportunities to prepare for current and future challenges.

Role(s) Support the Logistics Team through managing inventory with cycle count, investigation issue, inventory accuracy and reporting.

Responsibilities-

  • Manage inventories of general supplies.
  • Control parts inventory with cycle count.
  • Make a plan counting and handle it.
  • Review parts stock between system and actual and adjust in the system
  • Investigate and report to cycle count result
  • Procure, receive, store and issue material.
  • Communicate with CKD H/Q in Korea and LP suppliers for Inventory/packaging management.
  • Manage warehouse product and product flow.
  • Improve and manage 5S in supplier warehouses.
  • Manage warehouse storage optimization.
  • Manage monthly closing and backlog.
  • Assist with projects and contribute to continuous improvement ideas as needed.
  • Assist with general purchasing of basic warehouse items.
  • Mange inventory levels and scheduling delivers from warehouses to MOBIS.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


Qualifications:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Experience: 0-3 years

Education: Bachelors Degree (BA/BS)

Degree Field: Supply Chain Management or related field

Equivalent Experience/Education : 3+ years of supply chain management/logistics experience in an automotive/manufacturing environment

Communication Skills: Proficient

Foreign Language Required: Yes. If yes, what language? Korean

Foreign Language Skill Level: Proficient

Mathematical Skills: Intermediate

Certified/Technical Skills:

  • N/A

Additional/Other Requirements

  • PC literate, SAP, including Microsoft Office products; Advanced Excel skills required
