**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Serve as the Technical Lead and manage teams of Consultants for one or more commercial projects to ensure effective negotiations, well-aligned solution-delivery-to-plan, clear engagement governance accountabilities, profitability, and overall client satisfaction.
+ Enrich client partnering and anticipate client needs based on a solid understanding of emerging industry requirements and/or technological breakthroughs in Technology Consulting including Agile Methodologies, DevOps Automation, Enterprise Software Applications, and Large-scale distributed systems.
+ Ensures the appropriate alignment and collaboration of consulting teams and individuals to support project requirements and activities in the focus area and within larger Cognizant and client ecosystems including Collaboration & Influence, Cross-functional teamwork, Organizational transformation, Technology Strategic design, and Strategic division.
+ Ensures the appropriate alignment and collaboration of consulting teams and individuals to support project requirements and activities in the focus area and within larger Cognizant and client ecosystems.
+ Advocate for and establish appropriate recognition for Consulting within projects and negotiate applicable consultant rates in project sizing that correspond to the value Consultants contribute to engagements.
+ Develop and manage the capture, communication, and sharing of intellectual property (IP) and project artifacts for a focus area, domain area, or practice management area.
+ Exercise leadership in the development of Consulting service offerings.
+ Support and contribute to the establishment of thought leadership in the industry, to promote Cognizant's brand and to drive additional opportunities for Cognizant.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Demonstrates thought leadership, e.g.: Guides/upskill other engineers and clients in cloud best practices; demonstrate expertise with automation and infrastructure as code (IaC).
+ Deep understanding of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP and how to leverage them (certifications a plus).
+ Past enterprise level experience in DevOps, Software, Infrastructure or Site Reliability Engineering.
+ Proficient in infrastructure as code practices using technologies such as CDK, KPT, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, AWS CloudFormation, and/or SaltStack.
+ Proficient in one or more enterprise scale observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, FluentD, ELK.
+ Ability to document solutions, cloud architectural patterns, and best practices to ensure that clients have guidance as needed.
+ Proven ability to partner with cloud hyperscale partners to define and troubleshoot cloud architectures and service enablements.
+ Experience maintaining and improving the reliability of applications and infrastructure.
+ Hands on experience developing and improving all phases of the software development/delivery lifecycle.
+ Experience building CI/CD pipelines from scratch.
+ Strong grasp of container technology including container orchestration with tools such as Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker Swarm, Nomad or similar.
+ Solid understanding of Microservices and API.
+ Eager to problem solve and troubleshoot issues that may arise day to day.
**WORK AUTHORIZATION**

**SALARY AND OTHRE COMPENSATION**
The annual salary for this position is between **$122,400 - $194,000** depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.

This engineering leadership position will be within our Vehicle Engineering organization and will be **located onsite in Palmdale, El Segundo, or Rancho Bernardo, CA.**
This Enterprise Level position will report to the Enterprise System Architect in the Chief Engineer's office. The selected candidate will act as the primary point of contact for the Chief Engineer and System Architect, leading efforts to resolve critical engineering challenges. This role requires a strong capacity to comprehend, analyze, and resolve diverse issues. The candidate must excel in teamwork, foster collaboration, and demonstrate exceptional communication skills, as they will be interacting with enterprise leadership, customer representatives, and junior engineering teams. The selected candidate will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Vehicle Engineering.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
+ Review and provide input on material presented at enterprise change boards to ensure material presented is correct and meets Vehicle Engineering requirements
+ Lead the development/refinement of architectures to meet customer needs
+ Support the Enterprise System Architect ensuring architectures are baselined and maintained
+ Coordinate with the Engineering Functional Homeroom to ensure proper processes, tools, and training are implemented within the program
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. An occasional travel requirement up to 10% may be needed.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 16 years of related engineering experience to include a background in airframe structures, vehicle subsystems, flight sciences, or vehicle controls; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 14 years of related engineering experience to include a background in airframe structures, vehicle subsystems, flight sciences, or vehicle controls; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience to include a background in airframe structures, vehicle subsystems, flight sciences, or vehicle controls.
+ Must have an active DoD Top Secret(with a background investigation completed within the last 5 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Primary Level Salary Range: $206,900.00 - $310,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. - Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in a technical Data Engineering role utilizing technologies such as SQL and Python.
- 5+ years of technology consulting experience.
- 3+ years building with Snowflake as a primary platform (bonus: Cortex, Streamlit, Snowpark).
- 3+ years leading teams and/or in a technical manager role.
- 3+ years working with modern cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with other cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Redshift, and BigQuery
- Familiarity with DBT, Airflow, Terraform, Kubernetes, and modern orchestration tools.
- Proven track record of growing and leading teams in a consulting or tech environment.
- Strong background in hiring, coaching, and talent development.
- Clear and effective communicator with strong interpersonal and writing skills.
- Experience managing managers.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices.
