**Position Summary:**
The Production Supervisor is responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in the Topping Department.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Maintains a high standard of quality for the products produced and adheres to company/customer specifications.
+ Complies with product scheduling needs.
+ Focuses on material usage.
+ Facilitates the controlling of inventory by properly using SAP system and monitoring the use of SAP by employees.
+ Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of the product.
+ Analyzes topping operations and assist workers with resolutions.
+ Maintains and monitors process control paperwork in accordance with HACCP recommendations, including but not limited to: SPC weight control.
+ Confers with other Leads and Supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
+ Abides by and enforces our Products' Standard Operating Procedures.
+ Supervises the department function and processes.
+ Supervises department for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives.
+ Oversees the work activities and professional training and development of 39-100 direct reports.
+ Works with the Associate Manager and/or Sr Manager to attain goals, carry out strategies, plans, and policies to increase profitability and success of the factory.
+ Implements and enforces policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
+ Assists in developing and carrying out department's goals, objectives, and systems.
+ Conducts interviews, appraisal performances, on boarding, and disciplinary meetings including terminations.
+ Approves payroll and amends timecard errors for hourly employees.
+ Fills out appropriate paperwork, i.e. hiring, termination, replacement, performance evaluations, accident reports, vacation requests, and counseling forms.
+ Monitors employee's adherence to company rules and policies and takes necessary corrective action if needed.
+ Assists in reviewing and maintaining crewing levels and optimizing to meet or surpass labor cost targets.
+ Suggests ways to control labor and supply costs as well as improve processes.
+ Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.
+ Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices).
+ Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work place.
+ Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management.
+ Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
**Education, Skills and Experience:**
+ Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Operations Management or related field preferred
+ High School Diploma required
+ Three (3) years Manufacturing experience required
+ One (1) year Supervisory experience required
+ Previous experience in a food facility preferred
+ Ability to establish trust and credibility with employees
+ Ability to influence and promote change on all levels of the organization
+ Sound technical skills, logical ability, and strong problem analysis and resolutions skills with a strong operational focus
+ Ability to demonstrate discretion and business ethics
+ Ability to gather and analyze all types of data, identify the appropriate relationships between the different data anticipate business directions and recommend fact based decisions
+ Prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously with aggressive deadlines

The approximate pay range for this position is $71,000 to $95,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced 2nd shift Production Supervisor in our Meat Department. Responsibilities include leading and engaging production team employees to ensure efficient production. Responsible for making sure all tasks performed by the production team are performed safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve plant performance in the areas of safety, quality, and cost control.
What you will be doing
Oversee and monitor day-to-day operation of the meat processing department including workflow, management of work in process, job assignments rotations, etc. to ensure "smooth flow" and efficient production.
Manage employee hours and headcount to ensure adherence to established budget.
Effectively orient, train and develop employees utilizing new hire onboarding process, ongoing performance feedback, and position analyses.
Support positive employee relations, fair treatment, and respect in all aspect in all aspects of interactions with employees.
Address employee concerns and request timely.
Produce and review daily production reports for schedule adherence, efficiencies, and other data.
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Safe Quality Food (SQF), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements are followed.
Suggest process and other cost-savings improvements.
Promote workforce safety by complying with safety policies and procedures, participating in safety-related trainings, incident reviews and corrective actions, and contributing safety suggestions for improvement.
Initiate employee discipline and corrective actions as needed, working with Human Resources and Management.
Monitor product quality and work with R&D and QA Departments to ensure customer specifications are met and GMPs are effectively deployed.

What you need to have
5 years experience in a Meat Processing food manufacturing environment with at least two years of supervisory leadership experience.
Demonstrated leadership skills with a solid track record of people development, team building, conflict resolution, and the ability to train and motivate personnel to achieve efficient production results.
Effective communication skills (verbal, written, presentation/training) and the ability to successfully interact with diverse personalities at all levels in a multi-cultural environment.
Working knowledge of GMPs, SOPs, HAACP, OSHA and other quality and safety programs in food processing environments.
Experience with FDA highly desired.
Math and computer skills (Microsoft Suite Excel, Word, Outlook)
Bilingual Spanish a plus.
