We're looking for a Production Supervisor to join our Spectacles team!
In the role of the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all production-related processes, systems, and procedures within the appropriate shift. All while allocating appropriate resources within the fabrication area to ensure that production objectives are met, and business policies are properly adhered to.
+ Set priorities for the fab personnel and monitor the flow of material through the production area to ensure that production schedules are consistently met.
+ Maintain a sense of ownership including understanding a sense of urgency and drive to optimize workflows.
+ Plan and coordinate material in the fabrication area, adjusting work assignments and schedules to maintain adequate staffing levels and respond to fluctuating workloads as needed.
+ Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals in tandem with the Production Manager. Resolve personnel problems, complaints, and formal grievances at the first level.
+ Review applicant credentials, interview potential candidates, and make recommendations for hiring.
+ Understand and promote training initiatives to further growth of the fab personnel as well as personal growth.
+ Maintain a safe and organized work area by observing and promoting all safety policies, cleanroom protocols, and procedures.
+ Review priority of outstanding/upcoming orders and clarify specifications as needed.
+ Determine production processes required and prioritize work based on demand and schedule.
+ Coordinate the creation of new Work-In-Process (WIP) for the production line and evaluate material at final inspections when necessary.
+ Plan and schedule routine tasks, using sound judgment when unexpected deviations from standard practice arise.
+ Schedule and monitor preventative or corrective maintenance and schedule major equipment repair to minimize production downtime on shift, as required.
+ Prepare and present clear and understandable reports for presentation to interdepartmental peers regarding status, progress, issues, mitigation plans and suggested solutions.
+ Participate as a key member of the operations team to identify opportunities and present solutions to improve the process flow.
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**
+ Excellent oral, interpersonal and presentation skills.
+ Self-motivated work style, with the ability to make decisions when direction is limited.
+ Great attention to detail. Neat and organized work practices.
+ Ability to grasp technical details and provide useful feedback to peers on issues and ideas.
**Minimum qualifications:**
+ 2+ years of prior supervisory or lead-role experience.
+ Experience tracking and reporting production metrics.
+ Ability to work in a cleanroom environment for the majority of a shift, wearing full cleanroom attire.
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ AA or higher-level degree.
+ Knowledge of and frequent use of PC tools (Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Excel or equivalent.)
+ Familiarity with industry standard troubleshooting methods (8D, 5-Why, CAPA, etc.)
+ Experience using a manufacturing execution system (MES) software in a production environment.
+ Prior experience working in a cleanroom environment.
+ Prior experience working with liquid crystal and/or AR/VR equipment.

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) ( :
The base salary range for this position is $89,000-$33,000 annually.
Zone B ( :
The base salary range for this position is 85,000- 126,000 annually.
Zone C ( :
The base salary range for this position is 76,000- 113,000 annually.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Supervise shift personnel in the manufacture of customer products consistent with high safety and quality standards.
+ Troubleshoot problems arising on the shop floor as it relates to Advanced Manufacturing operations / products, in conjunction with quality standards for throughput and yields with the appropriate engineering support from Engineering functions within the value stream / business unit
+ Maintain close observation of orders to keep informed of manufacturing status and, when needed, initiate the necessary steps to conform to schedule / staffing requirements.
+ Promote and support site initiatives including safety programs, lean initiatives, training programs, and consistently interpret and apply all policies, practices and procedures among plant team members.
+ Recommend and implement measures to motivate team members and to encourage employees to recommend ways to improve process, quality, safety and efficiency.

**Overview**
Production Supervisors are responsible for supervising hourly employees engaged in all phases of the manufacture of all blow molded containers. Duties include safety, quality, customer service, housekeeping, training, performance management, plant productivity, labor utilization, warehousing, and control of raw materials. **This is a night shift position with hours of 6pm-6am.** The primary duties of a Production Supervisor include:
+ Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
+ Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices.
+ The majority of the time will be responsible for exercising authority and independent judgment on the shift in the interest of the Company to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, discipline or adjust complaints or effectively to recommend such action by following established policies, procedures, and practices.
+ Responsible for the following shift functions; personnel training, development, safety, security, quality, inventory, good housekeeping, and general management of Company policies and procedures.
+ Resolves all production and resulting quality problems that occur on their shift. Responsible for frequent checks of product quality.
+ Accountable for providing shift documentation on decisions, shift issues, actions and status updates for the shift for the purpose of compliance and continuous quality improvement (CQI).
+ Attends all production meetings and safety meetings and conducts all shift meetings as required.
+ Responsible for reviewing and authorizing proper time records for all employees on the shift.
+ Manages temporary staffing assignments for the shift to achieve plant production and labor objectives.
+ Manages machine utilization to meet or exceed efficiency goals and recommends or directs necessary personnel, maintenance or engineering changes to help achieve those goals.
+ Develops new methods and procedures to optimize manufacturing efficiencies, maximize labor utilization, and reduce operating costs as part of CQI objectives.
+ Assists Production, Operations or Plant Manager in reviewing shift operations and makes recommendations relative to changes in operations, staffing, equipment, and procedures.
+ Assists performing all physical inventories in accordance with Company procedures.
