**SCOPE OF POSITION** **:**
The Production Supervisor leads and gives direction to workers assigned to a specific area of production. The objectives for this position are to ensure a safe working environment and to act as coach and facilitator to the group. + Coordinates flow of work within or between departments to expedite production. Reviews master production schedule and work orders, establishes priorities for specific customer orders, and revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and materials in order to meet customer demands.
+ Reviews schedules to establish sequence and lead times of each operation and department to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. Reviews production specifications and plant capacity data.
+ Partners with supply chain to ensure appropriate flow of materials.
+ Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality.
+ Processes performance evaluations of all direct reports
+ Assists in the recruiting and hiring process, including orientation, onboarding, and training of new employees
+ Collaborate with Engineering to bring new products from concept, to pilot, to full production and launch.
**Qualifications**
**KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION** **:** (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)
+ Associate degree in Business, Production Management, or similar. plus 3 years management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ 3 or more years manufacturing experience, at least one year in a people-leadership role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
