Essential Functions:

  • The Administrative Supervisor represents hospital Administration and as such serves as the delegated agent of the hospital administrative team and is invested with the authority of the same on the assigned shift.
  • The Administrative Supervisor is responsible to coordinate and evaluate management and clinical practice activities throughout the medical center.
  • The Administrative Supervisor is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors.
  • The Administrative Supervisor is responsible for knowledge of the patient population served and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
  • The Administrative Supervisor assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence based practice by maintaining a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs available.

Degree from Foreign Nursing School: Official certification from the Commission of Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools.

Licensure: Applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

* Ability to communicate with patients and health care staff and to be able to advise the patient on health care needs with consideration of mental, emotional, cultural, social and physical factors.
* Experience supervising staff, monitoring work performance or developing and approving work schedules in a hospital setting or medical office.

    Job Summary  

    The Supervisory LPN will be responsible for monitoring the personal care, companionship and skilled nursing services provided by our company’s direct care staff. They will also assist with coordinating clinical services and ensuring quality care services are provided to our clients. Duties for this role include performing in-home assessments of clients to determine their support and clinical needs and conducting scheduled supervisory visits to clients' homes.

    Job Summary:

    This position is located in the Office of the Chief Nursing Executive, the incumbent serves as the Director of Performance Improvement for St. Elizabeths Hospital (SEH). As such the incumbent serves as the primary senior Advisor to the Chief Nursing Executive on all issues pertaining to quality and development of plan and progress to address deficiencies of nursing services. The incumbent also acts as Advisor to Chief Nursing Executive on operational issues as they affect quality of nursing care and works closely with the Unit management staff to ensure that quality and performance requirement are understood and implemented. Participates in the development of nursing program goals, resource needs, and allocation of resources in conjunction with CNE. Plans, directs and controls the professional array of nursing services through subordinate supervisors. Monitors and audit employee's documentation and consistently provides reports of same to the Chief Nursing Executive and Nurse Managers for Performance improvement. Serves as liaison between Nursing and Policy Department, leads the Nursing Review Policy Committee and serves as the TJC expert. Prepares and issue 24 Hours daily Nursing report which details events concerning patients and Unit activities. Provides expert consultation, guidance and coaching to nurse managers to develop efficient and effective systems of unit operations. Collaborates with other nursing leaders in the development, implementation and evaluation of nursing procedures. Collaborates with other hospital leaders in the development and revision of patient care programs.
