As a Senior Director with EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution Supply Chain practice, you'll have the opportunity to work with some of the most innovative supply chain organizations in the world, and you'll work across the entire transaction lifecycle (pre-sign diligence, sign-to-close planning, post-close execution, etc.) of the most complex integrations (M&A) and divestitures. **To qualify for the role you must have**
+ A bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Analytics, or related field and 8 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience.
+ MBA is preferred.
+ Significant management consulting experience.
+ Proven expertise in direct materials sourcing, planning / inventory, and/or logistics to optimize supply chain performance and drive strategic initiatives.
+ Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
+ Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
+ Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
+ The ability to prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges
+ Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Supply Chain, Operations, or Business Related Field).
+ 9 + years working in Consulting, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field, either in professional services or industry .  
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Secondary emphasis on Visio, Access, and Tableau / Power BI.  
+ Professional Certification such as CPM, CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, PMP, Six Sigma/ Lean Six Sigma, Certified Scrum Professional, or similar strongly preferred.

Our client, a prominent global distributor of industrial goods, is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Supply Chain Operations to lead our entirely remote logistics and warehousing division. This is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service excellence across all warehousing and distribution activities. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing innovative strategies to optimize inventory management, transportation logistics, and warehouse operations, leveraging advanced technology and data analytics to drive performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies to support business objectives, focusing on warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a global team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Optimize warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping, to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Implement and manage inventory control systems to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce carrying costs.
  • Oversee transportation logistics, including carrier selection, negotiation, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement robust supply chain analytics and reporting to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities with other business functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, regulatory, and environmental standards within warehouse operations.
This is a fully remote position, requiring exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills. While our operational hubs are globally distributed, this role will be based remotely, requiring significant autonomy and self-discipline. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, with an MBA or advanced degree being a plus. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing warehousing and distribution, is mandatory. Proven experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and TMS (Transportation Management Systems) is essential. Experience with international logistics and a track record of successfully implementing supply chain optimization initiatives are critical.
