What you’ll be doing:
The Delivery Operations Supervisor will lead the team in ensuring the timely and complete delivery of all orders. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing and planning strategies to meet the operation’s daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
You will work closely with senior management in the pursuit of operational excellence and the facility's all-around success including achieving performance goals related to productivity, accuracy, and budget. You will make recommendations and improvements to department processes and procedures, participate in the hiring, training and coaching of associates and use operational reports to evaluate department performance and ensure expectations are met.

In your role as a leader, you will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers.

- Ability to accurately calculate and plan and adjust headcount required to meet objectives.

- Understanding of and working knowledge of transportation systems and processes, productivity standards, and technology.
- Functional knowledge of coaching drivers through check rides.

- 3+ years of transportation experience
- Must have a valid drivers’ license with a driving record indicating a safe driving history acceptable to the company and at all times remain eligible to drive a commercial motor vehicle under applicable laws and regulations
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen to the extent legally permissible
- Must obtain a 6-month DOT medical card specific to the role
- An ability to lift, lower, push, pull or carry product up to a maximum of 70 pounds by hand
- Must be at least 21 years of age

The Supply Chain Services Operations Manager is accountable for continuously reviewing Surgical Services, Interventional Radiology and Endo/GI Lab for Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas supply costs and identifying, evaluating and implementing the needed actions to reduce costs and maintain high contract compliance. Acts as a key player in maintaining and continuously improving services to our clinicians. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Supervises SCS staff as assigned by Corporate Operations senior leadership.
Accountable for supervising, coordinating, facilitating and implementing standardized processes and systems related to inventory control within Surgical Services, Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular Care for Baylor Scott & White Health.
Serves as liaison between Supply Chain Services, Surgical Services, Interventional Radiology, Endo/GI Lab departments to ensure effective and efficient management of supplies.
Responsibilities include management of processes and personnel related to: materials acquisition, receiving and distribution and coordination of PAR levels for Surgical Services, Interventional Radiology and Endo/GI Lab.
Ensures standardization of processes based on SCS best practices to maximize efficiencies of SCS as a whole.
Manage or participate on project teams as assigned; coordinate team activities, develop and implement project plans.
Develop reports and associated materials to update project status.
Evaluates and resolves all necessary SCS reports such as Open Receiving, Invoice Discrepancy and MM280.
Provides exceptional leadership role in semi-annual system-wide physical inventory.
Facilitates system-wide product and service agreement conversions.
Ensures the priority of enhancing patient care in a cost-effective manner through effective utilization of contracted supplies and equipment remains the focus.
Completes special projects as assigned and assist field operations as needed.
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Professional certification, such as Certified Purchasing Management (CPM), Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (A.P.P.), Certified Material Resource Professional (CMRP) or other recognized professional certification is preferred.
Proven skills in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Supply Chain ERP.
Proven written communication and report/presentation design skills.
