Job Location: Benicia, California
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Pay Rate: $28.85-$33.65
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:30am-5:30pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Supply Chain Analyst and a background in wine and beverage distribution? Our client, a leading wine industry company, is seeking a highly analytical and detail oriented Supply Chain Analyst to support inventory planning, forecasting, and procurement activities. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working remotely on Mondays and Fridays, with in office collaboration required Tuesdays through Thursdays. A company issued laptop will be provided.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage inventory planning, forecasting, and procurement to maintain target stock and service levels
Monitor and update planning inputs such as lead times, service levels, target inventories, and vintage data
Recommend inventory level or reorder point adjustments based on demand trends and supplier factors
Partner with Brand Management to align forecasts with brand strategy, sales promotions, and market trends
Collaborate with Logistics and Operations to ensure efficient inventory movement and cost control
Provide planning data and insights to support brand initiatives
Complete ad hoc assignments and contribute to cross-functional projects as needed
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a well established wine wholesale warehouse in Benicia, California.
Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
3-5 years of experience in supply chain, inventory, and/or procurement roles
Strong analytical skills with proven forecasting and planning experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); advanced Excel skills a plus
Experience with planning software such as Blue Ridge, Oracle, Logility, or JDA (perferred)
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Business Central or Apprise (preferred)
Experience with BI tools such as Diver or Business Objects (preferred)
APICS CPIM/CSCP or CPSM certification is a plus
Wine or beverage industry experience highly preferred

Responsibilities:
- Analyze and manage inventory planning, forecasting, and procurement to achieve target stock levels and maintain high customer service standards.
- Update and maintain forecasting inputs and inventory planning parameters, such as lead times, service levels, inventory targets, and product vintages, in relevant planning tools.
- Recommend adjustments to reorder points and inventory levels based on historical data, supplier specifics, and lead time changes.
- Collaborate with Brand Management to integrate sales strategies, market trends, and promotional incentives into forecasting and inventory plans.
- Work closely with Logistics and Operations teams to ensure inventory is moved efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Provide analytical support to Brand Management for the development and execution of brand strategies.
- Utilize supply chain planning systems to optimize processes and maintain accurate inventory tracking.
- Complete special projects and assignments related to supply chain operations as needed. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in supply chain management, inventory control, or procurement.
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience in data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate across teams.
