**Position Responsibilities:**

+ Analyzes post-production data and applies Supply Chain principles to optimize inventory management practices and procedures, reduce costs due to inventory surplus/shortages, and improve overall supply chain efficiency

+ Analyzes supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities, capacity and performs assessment of configuration change impact to supply support system
+ Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
+ Identifies Supply Chain alternatives to resolve obsolescence and unplanned emergent issues
+ Analyzes material location and initiates redistribution action
+ Enters, tracks, monitors and coordinates customer material and delivery requirements and customer orders
+ Processes documentation associated with repair items, warranty claims and material returned from customers
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ 1+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management
+ 1+ years of experience in Supply Chain Sourcing, Supplier Management, Supply Chain Planning and/or Production Control
+ 1+ years of experience have with organizing, planning, facilitating, and executing customer logistics
+ 1+ years of experience working with forecasting, Supply Chain Software Systems, Supply Chain modeling & Simulation tools, and ERP Systems
+ 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

This role requires an enlistment in the U.S. Army or Army Reserve, where you will supervise and maintain all Army supplies and equipment.

Job Description:
Aerojet Rocketdyne is searching for a motivated and energetic Sr. Specialist for our Supplier Program Management team (SPM) to enable the success of multiple suppliers for the Missile Solutions sector. The ideal candidate will support program proposals to help the team achieve our operation targets. They will assist with developing and executing supplier management strategies and negotiations; identifying risks and opportunities; and program execution (inclusive of cost, quality, schedule, delivery, etc.). This position partners with the Program Office, Engineering, Operations and Quality and reports directly to the Missile Solutions Sr Manager, Supplier Program Management.
Essential Functions:
- Lead large project or processes that are both inside and outside of the immediate job area.
- Work with cross functional team(s) within assigned program(s) while interacting with supplier(s), supply chain managers, program managers, functional managers, and customers to achieve subcontract cost, schedule and technical objectives.
- Support the Supply Chain portion of development and production proposals, including planning and execution of affordability, supplier quality and other supplier performance improvement initiative, being submitted to Government and Prime Contractor programs.
- Prepare presentations and lead teams in presentations to peers, customers, suppliers and managers.
- Opportunities for problem solving and innovation that can be complex that might require delegation and review of work across multiple supply chain areas.
- Travel (50%-75%) - Required to travel to other Aerojet Rocketdyne facilities and suppliers across the country.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant supply chain experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related supply chain experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related supply chain experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience leading contract negotiations with critical suppliers that are often single or sole sourced based on the technology
- Knowledge of project management methods within the defense acquisition environment including program planning, integrated master scheduling, budgeting and earned value management
- Capable of defining and negotiating task objectives, scope description and completion criteria for specific and broad activities.
