Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst

Location: Memphis, TN
Department: Operations / Transportation
Reports To: Sr. Transportation Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst to support our ocean import and domestic transportation operations. This role will focus on optimizing freight flows, improving carrier performance, and enhancing visibility across international and domestic supply chain activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, process improvement and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze data related to the supply chain to identify trends, inefficiencies, cost-saving opportunities and improve service levels.
  • Collaborate with procurement, sales, logistics, and operations teams to support strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs such as on-time delivery, product lead time, and freight cost per unit and mile.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives by evaluating lane optimization scenarios.
  • Assist with the implementation of supply chain technologies and systems.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in transportation, warehousing, or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with predictive analytics and machine learning models.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, customs clearance processes, and domestic freight modes (LTL, FTL, intermodal) is a plus.

Replenishment Planner Role

Pay Grade: 6-10

Position Summary

  • Manages the production and replenishment of make to stock inventory of at both forward deployed locations and Sylvamo paper mills.

  • Supports the management of all inventories in the network including make-to-stock, make-to-order, non-conforming product, quality held, and joblot inventory.

  • Drives integrated alignment between our customers, Customer Service, Sales, Supply Planning, the Center of Transportation Excellence, and our mills using defined SAP operating model processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained by understanding and applying Inventory Science, analyzing forecasts, understanding consumption patterns, leveraging collaborative forecasting, reviewing demand variability, monitoring business conditions, and communicating with Customer Service and Sales to drive accurate inventory replenishments.

  • Service customers by understanding and responding to customer requirements. Recommends inventory program changes, service platforms modifications, and process enhancements.

  • Identify and correct the root cause issues that impact our customers, warehouses, distribution, mills, production schedule, inventory and overall supply chain.

  • Minimize the impact of stock outs by finding alternative sources of supply, addressing one-time/ongoing service issues, and correcting root cause service issues.

  • Minimize cost to serve by utilizing the best mode of transportation for replenishments, participating in non-price improvement projects, and identifying opportunities for reducing cost such as SKU rationalization efforts, grade consolidations.

  • Proactively responds to internal requests utilizing knowledge of upstream and downstream processes

  • Effectively use Replenishment Planning tools and reports to proactively identify and resolve issues
