**What are your contributions to the team?**
+ Prepare necessary documents to support the modification of in-service Bombardier aircraft such as wire diagrams, functional test plans and reports, technical requirement documents, electrical load analysis and design compliance reports.
+ Coordinate with internal departments, outside suppliers and regulatory agencies regarding the design, installation, integration, testing and certification of avionics and entertainment systems on all Bombardier platforms.
+ Research specification for component selection. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure specifications are met.
+ Assist service center personnel in investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving build/modification and test issues

**How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:**
+ You hold a Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering with two (2) to five (5) years aviation experience or have a minimum of ten (10) years of practical avionics/electrical system installations, functional testing and integration experience in aviation.
+ You are proficient creating electrical drawings using AutoCad.
+ You have a working knowledge of Cabin Management/Entertainment Systems (Preferred).
+ You have a working knowledge of applicable regulatory certification rules (FAA, EASA, TCCA).

Responsibilities
+ Lead the design and development of Point of Load power supplies for ruggedized defense hardware.

Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and onsite work in Ashburn on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Our engineers are working on cutting-edge technology, developing ruggedized single board computers with super high-speed processing capabilities. These high-speed computers support high-reliability missions and are utilized in aircraft, tanks, submarines, torpedoes, and missiles. The contract duration is 9 months with potential for conversion to hire, including standard benefits, 3-4 weeks PTO, and 10 standard holidays. A remote position may be considered but would involve approximately 6 months of work.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.

- Demonstrates working understanding of electronic and electromechanical systems.
- Demonstrates working understanding of a variety of laboratory test equipment.
- Assembles prototype devices and systems. Fabricates electronic and electromechanical test fixtures.
- Sets up and executes pre-defined subsystem/system qualification protocols with moderate supervision.
- Sets up data equipment to capture test data. Performs basic statistical analysis of results.
- Investigates, analyzes, repairs, and documents component or system level failures.
- Is skilled in own work area within an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).
- Expands skills and techniques in one skill area / process / method. Maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed. Applies knowledge and skills to complete assigned tasks within own area.

- Formal Technical / Associates degree in: Automation or Robotics or Electrical or electromechanical or related degree. Bachelors Degree in one of these fields strongly preferred
- 5+ years of experience supporting and maintaining automation equipment
- PLCs programming and troubleshooting (Leader Logic)
- Rockwell automation Software (Studio 5000, RsLogix500, etc.)
- Cognex Vision Systems and/or Keyence Vision Systems
- Servo Motion Controls System
- Proven successful experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of automated machinery. This includes maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatically, and electrical systems, all integrated within automated machinery.
- Development and/or execution of preventive maintenance routines for automated equipment.
- Robots: FANUC, ABB, and Stubli (strong experience with pick an place applications)
- Strong experience with high speed assembly of plastic components with the use of Ultrasonic Welding, RF Forming and welding, UV systems, EFD dispensing systems, among others
- Experience working with Multivac, Tiromat, or similar Thermoforming machinery

Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Electrical Engineering Technician to join our innovative team! The successful candidate will be working with cutting-edge technology for space applications and will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our advanced systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Assembling, testing, and troubleshooting various RF circuits and systems.
2. Perform complex soldering and rework, including surface mount assembly for components as small as 0402, with proficiency in handling a wide variety of package types (e.g., QFN, QFP, TSOP, through hole connectors, etc.) under a microscope. J-STD or NASA soldering with space addendum certification preferred.
3. Utilizing Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and digital multi-meters.
4. Build and test multi-wire cable harnesses, including developing Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and conducting thorough verification testing. IPC or NASA harnessing certification is preferred.
5. Assist in the design of RF PCB's and electronics.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 8 years' experience as an Electrical Engineering Technician or in a similar role.
2. Technical experience with electronic systems, including analog, digital, and RF subsystems.
3. Experience with soldering & de-soldering using rework tools, such as hot tweezers, hot plates, hot air rework stations and reflow ovens
4. One of the following certifications: J-001 for soldering, or IPC-6018 or IPC-6010
5. Familiarity with schematic and layout design in Altium Designer (preferred)
6. PC JSTD-001 w/Space addendum, IPC 620 - Harnessing, IPC 7711/7721 CIS - Soldering rework (preferred)
7. A degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
