Job Summary
University Residences is a fast-paced, hard-working team, looking to grow our work family.
What will you be doing as an Associate Custodian?
• Assist in maintaining a clean and healthy environment for residents
• Perform specific cleaning tasks in assigned areas including but not limited to: restrooms, resident rooms, kitchens, dining rooms, hallways, stairwells, lounges, and elevators
• Tasks may include mopping, buffing floors, washing walls, and dusting surfaces
• Operate powered and non-powered cleaning equipment
• Perform grounds-keeping, snow removal and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned,
- Occasional mandatory Overtime is required during residential areas move in and move out.
- It's important to note that in a job with paid benefits, there is a higher level of expectation and professionalism.
- We expect good attendance, adherence to policies, quality work, and following instructions.
- There will be training that you must complete as a requirement of your employment.
- Your team leader and I will do our best to provide you with training, opportunities for growth, and chances for development.

PAY: $15.00/hour
HOURS: Monday through Friday 7:00 am-3:30pm
What We're Looking For
Required:
• Stable work or education history.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English to effectively communicate and understand others.
• Technical competencies in basic mathematics, ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, attention to detail, and stand, walk, reach and stoop extensively.
• Competencies for this position are work standards and productivity, communication, interpersonal and intercultural relations, decision making, and dependability.
• Additional competencies may include financial, coaching, delegation, and planning.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from different viewpoints and backgrounds.
Preferred:
• Custodial, service worker, or janitorial experience
• High School Diploma/GED
• A valid US or Canadian driver's license

**Position Purpose:**
Associates in Store Support positions are responsible for a variety of non-sales functions. This may include ensuring an outstanding customer order fulfillment experience, assisting customers in the lot or providing administrative services. Direct customer or vendor interaction is sometimes required for these positions. Whether directing customers to store departments or merchandise, answering customer questions on product order status, handling cash management or program compliance, these positions play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Individuals in these positions must work cooperatively with other Associates, vendors, carriers, and productively with little/some supervision, be detail-oriented, and have proven time management skills. They must demonstrate a high level of integrity at all times, respond to operational concerns of all associates and remain focused on store specific business objectives while supporting key operational responsibilities. Specific positions may include: Office Associate, Order Fulfillment Associate, Lot Associate, and Customer Service Representative.
